Jeff Sessions: I Have No Reason to Believe Judge Moore Accusers are Lying

Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee fired off several questions today on Republican Judge Roy Moore during the House Judiciary hearing with Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Lee accused Judge Roy Moore of five counts of child sexual activity today during testimony at the House Judiciary Committee.

So far two women have accused Judge Moore of illicit sexual activity with minors. Three others were teens when they accused Judge Moore of sexual advances which would not be illegal due to the age of the women at the time.

Jeff Sessions told Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee he had no reason to believe Judge Moore accusers were lying.

This is exactly why I want to see him make it.

We went through this with Trump. 11 accusers. Press conferences. MSM all over it and the RINOs calling for him to step down. He didn’t He won. So will Moore. Moore needs to run ads in Alabama, “The Washington politicians, the national media, they all want to tell you how to vote. Send them a message.” They aren’t even talking ISSUES. Pure personal politics. This is all about Bannon. RINOs were behind the charges originally and they want Bannon to be stopped. Otherwise, all of them will face primary challengers. They threw $30 million against Moore to stop him. Didn’t work. Moore needs to follow the Trump playbook. Trump would also counter-punch and change the narrative. Moore needs to punch back. And soon.

Exactly. Bring up Mendez. Bring up McCain with the Keating 5! Bring up Bidens plagiarism. He won't do this because he's a "christian" man. Unfortunately he's chosen to bring Christian principles into a den of snakes.

That was all a facade, I see now. He apparently was the AG designate by the Swamp to recuse himself so the Swamp Creatures would not be prosecuted. Even if Sessions was blackmailed 6 ways to Sunday to force him to do this, I still think he is a coward and unfit for the office.

I'm beginning to agree with you.

Your statement is eloquent. Me, I’d be satisfied just to see Sessions out of DC and out of public office. He’s singlehandedly undermining not just the Trump presidency but also the rule of law. He needs to go ASAP.

The point is that, though they can, just as Moore could legally date those girls, there would be severe political fallout. And there is an election coming up next November.

They can only refuse to seat if he is not constitutionally qualified, by court precedent.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?

This is the US Senate. Have you not read the Constitution? Article 1 Section 5 gives them the power to EXPEL any member they want upon a 2/3rds vote. The Democrats once EXPELLED 10 SOUTHERN SENATORS AT ONCE!

People need to get a clue. Stare decisis means NOTHING in a case like this.

Oh, yes, there will. I think, in retrospect, future historians will finger it as one of the main triggers for the 3rd American Civil War.

I wish it was mine! But it can be traced back 1980 .

” Congressional Democratic leaders today ordered a formal investigation into whether Ronald Reagan’s Presidential campaign made a deal with Iran in 1980 to delay the release of American hostages until after the election.

Thomas S. Foley, the House Speaker, and George J. Mitchell, the Senate Democratic leader, said they had designated the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to supervise separate but coordinated inquiries.”

By court precedent, an elected senator can only refuse to be seated if they do not meet constitutional qualifications, including meeting state rules for election.

The senate tried to exclude based on ideology, and were prevented.

I said nothing about expulsion. I am not the one lacking a clue.

Get rid of this miserable fence sitting idler. He goes wherever the current wind is blowing. Coward.

I totally agree! Takes a special kind of stupid to answer a question that has absolutely nothing to do with the hearings he testifying about. Crap!!

He has no legal basis to disbelieve either Roy Moore or the accusers at this point. My opinion is that the accusers are lying, but I have no legal basis for that opinion. The timing, handwriting analysis, etc., help from my opinion, but it hasn’t been investigated.

Innocent until proven guilty. And that, my FRiends, is why Sessions needs to be shown the door immediately.

....this isn’t looking very good for the Judge regardless of which side any are on. For whatever reasons he’s yet to speak strong enough against the accusations.....and the political heat is getting hotter.

They can get the Judge out just by ‘creating doubt’...which currently they’re fast being successful at.
