Families of nine victims who were killed and a teacher who survived the Dec. 14, 2012 massacre filed the lawsuit in January 2015 seeking to hold Remington Outdoor Co. liable, arguing it marketed the AR-15 to the public even though it knew the weapon was designed for military use.

If the lawyers had to personally pay the fees for the other lawyers when they lost a case, this crap would stop. As it is, they just walk away and lose nothing but the time they put into the case.
I think the Brady Bunch egged them on and then left them holding the bag after the lawyers lost.
Sorry, but until all the anomalies have been adequately addressed, the SH official narrative is a stinking pile of trash. What parent of a murdered child is laughing until caught on CNN, then gives a phony melodramatic performance when he realizes the cameras are rolling?
The R51 is the finest paperweight the people at Remington have ever produced.

The river ranch rifle is not an AR. It is a development of the mini 14. Factory certified armorer here.

“Sandy Hook families still at it.Feel sorry for them as they just wont let it go. Must be being prodded by lawyers”

They are hoping that Remington will settle - because otherwise they have no case.
This is not an illegal product.
The product worked exactly as it should have (albeit against targets not intended by the manufacturer or anyone else - but a CRIMINAL).
The product was sold through legal channels of commerce, with every single transaction being legal until the perp killed his own mother with HER gun, and then illegally brought it to a school, and then illegally shot out the door, and then illegally shot and killed/wounded a bunch of innocent people.
How ANY company can be held liable for the multiple crimes committed by a third person not under its control, for selling a legal, defect-free product through legal channels is not only beyond me, it is contrary to centuries of law.
Yeah, these folks need to deal with their horrible losses and move on as best as it is possible to do. Continuing to focus on this is not helping them at all. My heart does go out to them - who EVER wants to have a family member murdered, let alone their child? But sometimes you have to face the fact that some insane criminal caused you a bunch of problems, and that there is no redress for it in this life.

I was more going by its operation. Maybe I should have put quotes around AR-15. The Ruger is the same .223 caliber and you can get large capacity mags (20,30,40 rounds) for it.
I’ve got a friend who has one, along with a number of 30 and 40 PMI mags. The 30’s work great, but the 40’s are a little flakey.
So since my Class I Division 2 Kyocera can be used in hazardous environments, even though I don’t work in an environment like that, do I have to surrender the phone?
Just bought a Remington 30.06. I hope it helps.
Oops. a .308. Me bad... LOL
We should adopt Loser pays, like in Great Britain.
We should also adopt Mexico’s Immigration Laws and Western Europe’s restrictive Abortion Laws, for a start.
After all, Democrats and Liberals love Mexico and Western Europe.
Should the families of those people killed by the muslim in NYC with the truck sue Home Depot for renting him the truck? How about the auto maker?
When will this BS end?
.
This case has already been litigated and defeated at the SCOTUS level several times.

.
They know their case is moot.
But they also know that they’ll get tons of free propaganda time.
.
And make the losing side lawyers responsible for 50% of the fees of the winner.
In Loser Pays, the losing Party is responsible for ALL the costs.
Trial Lawyers would be jumping out of Windows is Loser Pays was adopted here. It would be akin to the 1929 Stock Market Crash, only worse. LOL
Okay, gotcha. I would refer to it as a modified garand action.

Please keep me on your list. Thank you.
The designs are not even close. The only similarity is they use .223 and are magazine fed.
The ranch rifle is a traditional stock (from Ruger) with no pistol grip, no adjustable LOP, no possibility for a bayonet mount, no threaded barrel and it goes on. It is similar to the M1 Garand except magazine instead of enbloc clip.
As I replied to Celtic Conservative, I should have put quotes around AR-15.
I was trying to show here’s a semi-auto rifle that fires a .223 round and accepts large capacity mags, ie. 30 or 40 rounds.
But yet if you show it to an AR-15 hater, they love it. It’s a nice safe hunting rifle, not an evil ‘assault weapon.’
But functionally, it’s identical to an AR-15.
