Keurig's decision to pull its advertising from Sean Hannity's Fox News show is not going over well with some viewers.
Social-media users on Sunday posted videos of themselves smashing their Keurig coffee makers, two days after the company said it would no longer advertise during Hannity's show.
Keurig and other companies faced pressure to pull their ads following Hannity's interview with Roy Moore, the Senate candidate in Alabama who is facing allegations he engaged in sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old girl and pursued several teenagers while he was in his 30s.
Critics of the interview said Hannity went too easy on Moore. By Saturday, several companies including Keurig, 23andMe, and E-Trade announced they would pull their ads.

Exactly, that’s what I said on a similar thread. Liberals are not going to rush out and buy Kuerigs over this.
Your family sounds like me. I started drinking coffee because of free refills when I was in college.
For over 30 years, I drank coffee only at work, never at home. Cause it was free.
Two years ago, I had a change of position at work and began to work from home. I bought a single cup drip funnel type thing at REI. Last year, I went all out and bought a French press. Make a cup in the morning and I’m good to go.
When I’m on the road (few days a week) I buy a cup at the gas station.
I also drink it black. None of the fru-fru stuff for me.
If you already own a Keurig product, smashing it makes no sense. That’s money that is already spent.
I’d guess their revenue stream is largely from their K-Cup coffee sales and there are many other companies from whom to buy your K-Cup coffee. I have never purchased Keurig K-Cups because there are so many other better brands. I just purchased my first mail-order coffee from Coffee Town, a small roaster. (of course, I’d probably find they have their own detestable political slants, too).
If you want to protest, don’t buy Keurig coffee.
I paid $10.00 for my coffee maker from Aldi.
It came with a reusable filter.
I stock-up on coffee when it’s on sale - 10 bags, 20 bags, whatever.
Ridiculous spending this much a coffee maker and those stupid refills.
Some of us only drink 1-2 cups per day. No point in making a whole pot (or two, when the morning brew has deteriorated come 3pm) for one mug.
Best option: AeroPress. Make one great cup as-needed, waste is 2 sq in filter paper (and can reuse that if you like).
(Agree w/ your take on “conservative”: the point is to CONSERVE; resources are limited.)
I just noticed post 20. That’s what I used to use.
Now if someone would like to spot me some actual real Kona (not Kona Blend...) I'll certainly use them!
Companies are pulling their ads from the show because he went too easy and an interview? That seems weird.
Since I don’t buy Keurig coffee I don’t see how smashing my current machine would hurt them. However, these coffee makers tend to die after 3 or 4 years and I won’t replace mine with a Keurig unit.
If you already paid for it, smashing it seems to be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Not buying one. and urging others to follow suit is much more appropriate.
Get a $3 hot-air popcorn popper from Goodwill.
Order the 2-lb Ethiopian sampler pack from http://SweetMarias.com
Dump 1 cup green coffee beans in popper, heat for 8 minutes.
Grind fine.
Brew in AeroPress or Chemex.
Then, grasshopper, you will understand.
Good points . Not to mention innocent before proven guilty
It’s the cups, if millions of Keurig coffee makers are smashed, then billions of K Cups will not be sold.
In the end, Keurig will be begging to advertise on Hannity.
The link goes to their history page. They are well worth the few extra minutes it takes to brew the perfect pot of coffee!
I think it shows that they wont be getting any more of your money, since you wont be buying their coffee either. Or do they even sell coffee? I really know nothing about those machines, I still use a stovetop espresso machine.
Yep, one in the morning to get my eyes open and heart started. But it is fifteen ounces in a mug I received at a ten k race I ran about 35 years ago!
I buy two bags of that, a case of sparking water (gotta have sparkling water with my coffee) and we are good for three weeks.
‘If you already paid for it, smashing it seems to be cutting off your nose to spite your face.’
The Keurigittes are nothing like the Luddites.
