Police have named the man accused of stabbing two people inside the Mall of America during a botched robbery attempt Sunday.
Officials identified him as Mahad Abdiaziz Abdirahaman, 20, according to a local CBS report.
Abdirahaman snuck into a men’s fitting room at the Minnesota mall and tried to swipe something from a customer’s belongings while the man was outside the fitting room modeling clothes for his family. But he caught Abdirahaman in the act, and the would-be thief pulled a knife and stabbed him, authorities said.
Hearing the victim’s screams, his family rushed to his aid, but Abdirahaman slashed a second person before they could wrest the knife from him.
The scuffle and ensuing response by police freaked out nearby shoppers waiting in line for their kids to see Santa.

Not that unusual. My husband will often model clothes he is trying on so I can check the fit and see if I need to alter them or grab a different size.
The guy he was robbing probably tried to grab him and hold him.

I don’t even try clothes on. I know what size I am.
The other day, I bought a pair of insulated overalls, like Carhart’s. I did try them on, over jeans to decide if I like Large or XL better. I went with XL. Really baggy but more comfortable.
