Trump should concentrate on getting conservative judges appointed and breaking up as much of the bureaucracy as possible because this worthless Congress is determined to ruin every other part of his legacy.

We know the Dems are master dirt-diggers. If the “Republican Congress” is really even Republican (doubtful), many are certainly compromised and caught and thus effectively shut up/neutralized.

A very significant percentage of Republicans who hold public office are plants. Doubt that at the nation’s risk. This has been the plan for at least 7 decades.

During Zumwalt, I remember ships and subs with too many USNA grads in the wardroom ended up in drydock.

The GOP sweep of 2001-2007 led to disaster.

There is no hope through politics.

The headline should be "Is there anything ...", not "Is there nothing ...".

Reading comprehension is scarce in GOPe land.

This is what happens when there is poor leadership in both Houses.

There’s a wing in the party, Ryan, Corker, Flake, that wants Trump to fail. That’s why nothing big has been done. Before America becomes great again the party needs a cleansing. God help us.

What are the chances that Tooter, Eddie, and some of the other RINOs will change parties if Trump and the Republicans win the midterms? Just to “keep things fair” ya know!

The GOP has to abandon the attempts to limit tax reform to some “revenue neutral” combination of changes.

They can ignore such a target if they admit the real tax reforms are likely to grow the economy more and by economic growth raise more revenue than the “Congressional authorities” say will be raised.

By ignoring that target they can quit screwing around with trivial deductions (like teachers expenses, fire fighters uniforms, medical expense deductions) and keep the main ones, like removing the deductions for state and local taxes.

Besides, if they keep the increase in the standard deduction the actual use of some of the more minor itemized deductions is going to lessen, losing a lot of “takers” for them, as doing so loses an advantage over the increased standard deduction for many.

Trump should use the budget from 2006 for 2019. That will eliminate all the Nancy/Obama BS spending.

Trump needs to Ditch Mitch.

Congressional Republicans are not screwing up, since screwing up would mean that they were merely incompetent fools.

They are, instead, actively taking things in the wrong direction.
