Outright confiscation just isn't going to happen, which is why the Left is eliminating guns through attrition, through the ballot box, and through demographics.

They're not having the best of success with that...

The DemoRats have been pushing for gun control for decades.
This is how it has been working out for them.

And in the last two months... (Nov. 2012 and Dec. 2012)

And it continues...

And there is more...

And more...

And yet more...

And more and more and...

We just keep buyin' more...

And we bought more more more...

And more and more and more...

Could it be? More?

More Americans buy more guns...

KEEP FLAPPIN' YOUR LIPS, DEMOCRATS! WE'LL BUY MILLIONS MORE. ;-)

They will do that a few times, you can’t deny it.

Word will get out though, and there will be a lot of blood.

Every armed citizen should make a careful to-do list of ant-gun, demoncrat-supporting neighbors & friends & relatives for use when the SHTF.

My friendly, engaging, and generous neighbors are hopelessly anti-gun. They don’t even know about my guns.
So what should be done about them in the scenario you illustrated?

I would suggest you make appetizers out of them, served with a light cream sauce and perhaps a Reisling...

One thing that stands out to me is just WHO is going to come and take our guns?

Any government/police agency is going to know that busting down gun owner's doors may be the last thing they ever do before they're shot dead by equal or superior fire power.

It just doesn't make sense to me that this gun confiscation effort would amount to much other than words and threats.

Whose fooling who?

The gun grabbers talk big but whose going to make the first move?

It's all for show, IMHO.

But, hey, bring it on and you will die quickly and in massive quantities.

Such orders allow a judge to issue an ex parte order for the confiscation of an American’s firearms

Well, if they really, really want a revolution, that's a good way to start.

Won’t be fun for sure. Those kicking in doors at 3 am should think long and hard about the law of unintended consequences.

Did you know a 90 pound Siberian Husky is a top 10 most dangerous dogs? You'd better be a world-class quick-draw 'cause she'll be running from room to room with your intestines before you even see her. She snags flying birds out of the air 4 feet off the ground with a flick of her toes. My personal wolf.

This, to me, represents where gun-grabbers can go.

Here in Maine, gun-grabbing Michael Bloomturd and his not-so-merry band of “Everytown a crap hole” co-horts managed to place “Universal Background Checks” on the ballot here in Maine in November 2016.

The idiot police chiefs did commercials on TV in support of this ballot measure, which was mostly funded by Bloomturd and other out-of-staters.

The sheriffs of Maine were opposed to this ballot measure and did a number of TV commercials in uniform where they stated their opposition to Universal Super-Duper Background checks.

Bloomturd heavily outspent the NO on 3 pro-freedom pro-Second Amendment people.

On election night, the people of Maine told Bloomturd to screw. Bloomturd’s “Universal Background Checks” scheme failed.

Maine has been Open Carry for years, and Maine has had Constitutional Carry for two years. No permit necessary to carry a firearm in your vehicle concealed or on your person concealed.

A large scale gun confiscation has never been attempted. What happened at Katrina was nothing.

Try to think carefully about the difference between a large scale, nation-wide confiscation and whatever examples you mentioned.

How many cops are there in the country? Compare that with one hundred million gun owners.

You’re assuming all the cops will go after all the gun owners at once. That’s not what will come down, any more than ICE goes after every illegal at the same time.

With a SWAT team on your front lawn backed up by an APC, you’d know what outnumbered felt like.

To put it simply, what you’re thinking about is when a single household is targeted. There’s no way that single household can stop it from happening. But when the target is every household, in all neighborhoods across the country? Think it through. The cops lose overwhelmingly.

I think the real keyboard warrior on this thread spoke too soon.

I don’t think you’ve thought through this very carefully, either.

Shall we walk through it together, in order to reach a better understanding?
