Roy Moore blasted by woman's lawyer: 'He knows full well' why the women kept quiet

Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore on Saturday again adamantly denied sexual misconduct allegations and promised that "revelations about the motivations" behind the news report of his alleged behavior will come out in a few days.

His Democratic opponent, Doug Jones, meanwhile said Moore needs "to answer to the people of Alabama" about the "very serious allegations."

And the lawyer for a woman who says Moore dated her when she was 18 and he was in his 30s and supplied her with alcohol before she was of legal drinking age responded later Saturday to the candidate's comments. Paula Cobia, lawyer for Gloria Deason, blasted Moore for making what she called "defamatory statements" about "4 brave women."

"He knows full well why these women did not tell what he did to them before this week," Cobia wrote in a statement posted on Facebook on Saturday. "As young teenage girls in the late 1970s in a small, rural southern town, they had no way of knowing their rights, especially against him considering that he was a district attorney at the time."

In South Carolina in the fifties and sixties school buses were driven by high school juniors and seniors who were in many, many ways more adult than today’s thirty five year old. I shake my head in disbelief when some people talk about today’s young people being more “mature” than those of decades ago. I wonder what concept of maturity they are speaking of.

Women like these unhappy, harpy wretches contribute to men rethinking “relationships” with women.

The only problem is the fake outrage generated by the Washington Post, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney and their allied RINOs and leftist friends.

In 1981 Prince Charles married Diana Spencer, after dating her since she was 16 years old. At the time Prince Charles met Diana he was 29 years old.

I don't recall anyone having a problem with that at the time. None of the outspoken critics of Judge Moore today said a thing about Prince Charles then or in the years since then.

Great point. Few people today can understand what innocent dating was.

Back then you needed to be a virgin or at least be able to fake it.

The yougins nowadays know more simply cause they can look it up on Google. We knew less back then, but we had better judgement. We could be trusted because we had morals or wisdom taught to us by our parents.

I wish Jesus could come down for a day, and write in the sand all the sins of every Congresscritter, like He did with the woman taken in adultery! Every last one of them would slink away!

Really...Leigh is a congenital liar! Who remembers what color shorts her boyfriend was wearing 40 years ago on their first time of heavy petting? It is to laugh! Her account of the encounter is way too detailed...a sure sign of perjured testimony.

This has to officially be the sex scandal with the least actual sex involved...

My mom let me stay out with him until 11:00... instead of my usual 10:30... and there was kissing and hugging.

Good Lord... if anything it makes Roy Moore look not like a Puritan.

“Mormons are not Christians.”

and where did you hear that from?

from their articles of faith:

“1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.

3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Probably because she needed time to get her made-up story straight.

Mormonism is a cult.

It’s always the seriousness of the accusations that important to the Democrats. Never any evidence.
