The allegations against Roy Moore are disgusting and if you find yourself reluctant to say so because of your politics, then youre pretty gross, too.
The Leigh Corfman story, reported by the Washington Post, is about so much more than just some older guy having a relationship with some younger girl. That, of course, would be bad enough many girls havent even had their f***ing periods at age 14 but this is also about a man who abuses his power to prey on the powerless. Its about a respected district attorney finding a girl in a vulnerable position (waiting with her mother outside of a child-support hearing) and relishing in the opportunity to take advantage of it. Its a sick story that is all too common, and one that will continue to be common if we refuse to speak out against it.
I believe that Roy Moore was a predator with a penchant for teenage girls. No, not because Im some p***y-hat-wearing snowflake (as eloquent as that argument is) but because of logic. As my colleague David French notes, there are a lot of reasons to believe these allegations: There are multiple accusers. These women didnt come to the press seeking attention, they simply answered the questions when the press came to them. They have witnesses corroborating their stories. Finally, the woman with the most serious allegations, Leigh Corfman, voted for Donald Trump in 2016 making the political-hit-job storyline laughable at best.
If you think theres no way you know anyone personally who has been through something like this; youre wrong again, and its time for people on all political sides to recognize reality: These men are everywhere, so are their victims, and those victims arent talking points for your partisan-hack gotcha tweets. Theyre people.

Why not?
In this case, that's critical information.
No, it isn’t relative to the tale.
The issue is her apparent history of making similar claims that were false. If she was 14 at the time, her sexual history since then is irrelevant.
I went to a all-men’s college in a rural area.
It was the perception among the locals that we were all headed for success, which, in local terms, was more or less true.
So, at open social events, we would encounter young beauties a) from other colleges; and b) from the area.
The age range on townies was 13-23 or so. Thirteens are easy to spot, but as you go to 14 and above, the right-hand tail of the hotness and maturity bell curve becomes increasingly convincing.
No guy, even a drunk guy, would KNOWINGLY go with a fourteen year old, at least not in my day. But a girl with a fake ID who lied about her age and had “dated” other college-aged men?
THAT HISTORY IS HIGHLY RELEVANT.
We disagree. In the situation you cite, preventing interaction is the goal, so considering contemporary behavior of the girl is critical.
In this allegation, the sexual history since the alleged incident is irrelevant.
Trying to use it will inevitably garner sympathy for this non-credible accuser.
I totally agree with you, but it wasn’t the 14 year old who worked for Hillary and other democrats as an interpreter. It was one of the others who was 18 and he allegedly offered her some cheap wine (40 years ago).
Thank you for the correct lineup. I have read so many accounts that my perception is whoever gave the lie about undressing etc. was the one the media has chosen to tar Moore with. That whole narrative sounds like the same type of material as the golden shower in Russia. Porno based talk that is fantasy. My understanding is that three of them said no sexual advances were made. No proof of anything from any of them that I am aware of. Just decades old memories that may or may not be accurate, or lies. I wonder if this week will bring enlightenment on any of this and if the GOPe will continue to help the democrats in their efforts to steal this election.
Pay her no mind, this Timpf skank is a partisan, feminist, conservative-hating idiot. Moreover, she exemplifies why the NR is widely considered an unreliable junk journal.
>> and he allegedly offered her some cheap wine (40 years ago).<<
Cheap wine? Seriously? If true, Moore should really do some hard time for that heinous crime! Imagine, offering cheap wine to an 18 year-old “child”! It’s horrible!!
>>I wonder if this week will bring enlightenment on any of this and if the GOPe will continue to help the democrats in their efforts to steal this election.<<
You needn’t wonder about what the GOPe will continue to do because they are in the vanguard of this smear campaign. Democrat lackeys, even more despicable than the cretins whose boots they are licking.
>>I believe that Roy Moore was a predator<<
Nobody with a normally functioning brain gives a rat’s ass what you think.
I am afraid that such is the case. This disgraceful attack on Judge Moore has again emphasized just how embedded the uniparty is in our govt. Their attempts to seize control of the Trump presidency is making the corruption of our govt more visible to the citizens who will be impacted adversely should they succeed. Pres Trump needs all the help he can get, and he needs Judge Moore in the senate. A pox on all involved in this effort to steal the election for the democrats.
>>These things make it look like a carefully planned smear job.<<
Of course it is, and the whole hit job has already fallen apart and been exposed as a hoax in the media.
>>Youve got to consider the seriousness of the charges.<<
Consider the seriousness of the charged? Please enlighten us as to what it is you’re implying by that brilliant statement. Consider them how?
>>Youve got to consider the seriousness of the charges.<<

>> David French, Mitch McConnell, John McCain and Mitt Romney continue to show they are enemies of America, as they want a proud baby-killer representing Alabama because Judge Moore isn’t one of them. He’s one of us.<<
You have it exactly right. Send a sawbuck to Judge Moore.
It’s a joke, and a good one too. Democrats, when one of theirs has crossed the line, always say “it’s the seriousness of the charge” that has to be taken into account, not the truth of the matter.
bkmk
for later laughs
What needs to be condemned in this is all of Hollywood, all of the media, and all of progressivism.
These, and what underlies them, are to blame for the state of our society.
