“If the NFL would simply state this for every game, and fire its employees who kneel during the Anthem, most of its profits would return.”
I doubt it, maybe if they would execute, live on TV, employees who kneel. That might bring an audience back.

It was the disgusted look on all their faces as well.

FORCED to stand, HATING to stand was the expression on their faces - heads turning side to side to see if anyone would break ranks.

Sick and pathetic.

The NFL is dead.

I’ll take the American flag off of my car when those idiots stand and put their hand over their heart, then maybe I’ll watch a game or two.

By the way, it's too late for the NFL players to do that and make America believe them.

I agree, the horse is way out of the barn and it ain't comin' home.

“Stand with your hand over your heart...”

Which they didn’t. From the pix I’ve seen, very sloppy posture - passive/aggressive attitude (”I’ll stand, but just barely and not with an appropriate attitude.”)

I will say again...just burn the flag as an opening ceremony then all the players can stand and cheer along with the owners, stadium fans, demonrats, and media....

I don’t limit the disrespect to military & their veterans, I consider it disrespectful to everyone that has ever worn a uniform to serve others - which includes police, firefighters, first responders, etc.. They all enable the society for which we’re grateful to live in.

These guys hate the cops.

“The National anthem is not about veterans”

I agree with you. The only trouble is if we say “it’s abou ‘America’”, the concept is too broad. What will you think if Trump is impeached and you have Brady-like players kneeling? Or if you had (wild example) a player who’s dad was killed at Waco? Or who’s cousin was proven to have been killed unjustly by the CIA?

Define it and be clear: we stand for vets and fallen troops. Anyone who kneels after that proclamation should be fired.

Saying it's about veterans is too narrow. The people that haven't served are left out.

The same thing.

I hear ya and agree. But if the NFL said something like “standing for the Anthem means respecting the Constitution”, for example, that gives a forum for kneelers who can regurgitate the 3/5 Compromise and garbage like that.

Saying it’s about vets and fallen troops allows us to prevent all kneelers, and no one would feel sorry for those few who get fired -— so I’d watch again.

There would still be a few who won’t watch again. But with one simple policy change, one that 90% of America would agree with, the NFL could make profit again and start saving the sport.
