We’re talking about a 32 year old man dating teens. That’s not only inappropriate, its a crime in many states.
I see no plausible defense for it given the age difference involved. If Moore didn’t know that at the time, he’s either a fool or a scoundrel.
That goes even deeper because back in the day, he was a prosecutor.

My sister-in-law married a guy 11 years older than she was.... when she was 15. They were married 36 years before he died. They were married in 1981.
It is not THAT unusual. How about giving Moore the benefit of the doubt for at least a few seconds before declaring him a pedophile. Hard to believe a West Point grad and assistant District Attorney would just casually commit statutory rape.

The only story that can be use on him is the now 52 year old that claims he tried to feel her up when she was 14 and it was 32 and it was 38 years ago. Moore has been in Alabama politics for 40 years. Democrats in the state hate him. They play hardball politics in the South. If there was anything to these stories it would came out years ago and ended his career. McConnell could be behind it, He hates Moore because Moore is an outsider and will be in Trump’s corner 100%.
I found it interesting to hear a bit of FoxNews on TV tonight, and everyone was falling all over themselves to say just how horrible it was for a 32 year old man to be dating a 14 year old. All good east and west coasters, who don’t seem to know very much history, and sure don’t know how to question anything they hear
As late as 2003, Alabama was trying to raise the age of marriage to 18, from the current 14.

I have aunts who were married by 14. It was common and legal. And way back in the 1970’s, marriage by 16, 17 or 18 was normal. What’s not normal is pretending that everyone in the “past” somehow must be perfect to today’s fashion. It’s a dangerous, malicious game I see being played out in today’s headlines and accusations.
