I found it interesting to hear a bit of FoxNews on TV tonight, and everyone was falling all over themselves to say just how horrible it was for a 32 year old man to be dating a 14 year old. All good east and west coasters, who don’t seem to know very much history, and sure don’t know how to question anything they hear
As late as 2003, Alabama was trying to raise the age of marriage to 18, from the current 14.

I have aunts who were married by 14. It was common and legal. And way back in the 1970’s, marriage by 16, 17 or 18 was normal. What’s not normal is pretending that everyone in the “past” somehow must be perfect to today’s fashion. It’s a dangerous, malicious game I see being played out in today’s headlines and accusations.

Yes, Fox was absolutely disgusting today. I turned it off after watching a bit of “The Five”. It was as if an Invasion of the Body Snatchers event had overtaken the on air staff. Absolutely sickening.

My grandma was married at 13. Grandpa was 20. My mother was 15. Daddy was 20 when they married in 1938. In 1961 my sister was 15 when she married her 18 year old FIRST boyfriend, They just celebrated their 56th anniversary,
