Whether it is a crime is less relevant. The dems want to reduce voter turnout for Moore. This will be effective in doing that. Will it be enough to elect Doug Jones? Not sure.
But I would not downplay the impact in a highly churched state when you have the head bible thumper ten commandments zealot accused of going after teens when he was in his 30s. Whether he scored or not matters not. Even if unproven it adds seeds of doubt and that is the dems' intent.

Are you saying that the "highly churched state" (whatever that means) of Alabama will have expected their "head bible thumper ten commandments zealot" (glad to know your feelings about Judge Moore) to have been sinless throughout his life?
I suspect that this blatant smear will just piss people off at the Bible spreading the smear - not against Moore.
