I feel you have this right; and the “childish media” and others have seriously underestimated Trump.

.......”the USA has the energy capability now that it didn’t have in the mid-70s. Of course, the UniParty hacks and unhinged left will continue to try and shut it all down”.......

Trump just got several billions for our shale oil from China...as I see it we asked Trump to do the deals and that's certainly happening. The markets are always jittery when big geopolitics are in play as well as threats of war. I think this was taken into consideration as things are in motion at this time.

.....”the “childish media” and others have seriously underestimated Trump”.....

So have several here on FR unfortunately.....we can encourage people to ‘look at the big picture’ til dooms day but they still get caught up in ‘our’ media propaganda.

Heads up for everyone should have been when Trumps first Tour was to the ME.........he’s changed the dynamics there practically overnight and set the game we now see playing out......he’s been wheeling and dealing despite the full court press against him and the antics of our representatives trying to trip hi and defame him. ....meanwhile he’s simply moved forward with his agenda.....and if our government won’t work with him then he’ll cut them off at the pass....stopping the money flow on a gigantic scale.

Why should he bother with the Clinton Foundation when he can go after those who are funding it Internationally......and stop the spigot!

The guy is smarter than any realize.....and that on how to operate on the International scale.

When you think about it, Obama was an insult to our allies and enemies alike - nobody could respect him.

People respect Trump; and I think that many, when they actually meet him, like him, too. They know they’re dealing with substance.

Middle East chaos historically causes gas prices to rise. Often an excuse to gouge or cause shortages

Trump and other nation leaders understand what the word “Respect” means....Americans have little respect for anything for the most part. They’ve gotten far too comfortable and this without being grateful for all that we are...thus I think God’s been removing our sense of security and wealth in it for a long time now.

Thanks.

My knowledge on this issue is minimal, and I don’t know what graphics would be appropriate here.

I’m not sure that’s true about Americans, in general.

And I don’t think that you would be on this board, if you didn’t recognize that it’s a place were MANY Americans still give evidence of higher sensibilities and respect for proven, traditional values.

Sometimes it may not seem that way, when you read the news and hear all of the awful stories. But I see respect for our heritage and its principles - and for exemplars of those - every day, here on FR. I also see it in my personal life and in people that I know and encounter.

Things aren’t as bad as some are trying to ‘brainwash’ us into thinking that they are.

.....”MANY Americans still give evidence of higher sensibilities and respect for proven, traditional values”....

I can agree but only to a point....the election showed people were angry about the way this country was heading and the leadership. Otherwise I don’t think Trump would have run had he not addressed head on the very things and ‘lack of respect’ our leaders had shown the people. .....and ‘their kind’.

In ‘my work’ I have observed a defined lack of respect from the clients served as well as toward one other. Where in my personal life my circle of friends has narrowed to those who know respect and such.

But I cannot deny some of the lack of respect comes from the hammering of those still angry and bitter over the election. It’s ‘infecting’ the country.

I respect your experience. But in my ‘milieu’, nobody is paying much attention to all of that ‘hammering’ - and I work and live in what they call a very ‘diverse’ environment.

Sure, a lot of people are buying into all of the ‘infection’ - and the perpetrators are trying to make it ‘viral’, and doing all they can through their connections with media to make it so.

I just don’t see it taking hold in everyday life - it’s only on TV and the Internet, and with those who believe in those media. But I don’t believe that the majority of people put those ahead of their personal, visceral, real-life experience, when ‘push-comes-to-shove”.

And I think that we have the election of the very plain-spoken President Trump to prove that.

Gas prices here (mid-South) have jumped almost 20 cents. More than that since pre-Harvey.

Actually, they jumped due to the hurricanes’ damage, eased off a bit, jumped again (pipeline problem in, IIRC, upper Midwest), eased off a bit, and now have jumped quite a bit. IIRC, since pre-Harvey we are up around 30 cents, with no tax hike here I am aware of to contribute...

There is a lot of information and speculation over on oilprice.com, but, it’s all over the place.

IF Saudi and Iran were to knock out a significant part of each other’s production, it would take a while for other producers (eg., U.S. shale, etc.) to fill in the shortfall. The speculators are, I suspect, hoping for just that, and can create a sort of self-fulfilling bubble for a time, even if tensions subside.

If there does end up being a war between mainly Iran and Saudi Arabia and Turkey ends up getting involved, much of what is happening in the world right now is shaping up perfectly according to a very interesting bible prophecy video I saw a few years back.

It’s true, we don’t get much world news do we? It’s mostly politics which gets interrupted by the occasional lone wolf shooter or terror attack. I want to know what’s happening outside our bubble as well.

Yes, fear of disruptions in the Middle East oil flow will cause a hike in prices to be sure. We don't know how deep the impact would be, this is a different day. The U.S. is no longer dependent on imported oil. We are now exporting. Many of our nations older oil dependent power plants have been retro-fitted to burn natural gas...which we have flowing out our ears.
