Hillary and Bill Houdini

How do they do it? I am not the first to compare the Clintons to Harry Houdini, the great magician and escape artist, but Bill and Hillary make him look like a rank amateur.

No law seems to touch them. No regulation seems to control them. No prosecutor wants to take the risk of holding either Clinton accountable for anything. OK, Bill was impeached by a Republican House, but not convicted in the Senate.

The latest escape for Hillary involves former FBI Director James Comey and the law governing classified materials. The Hill newspaper's John Solomon has obtained an early draft of Comey's statement about Hillary's mishandling of classified documents on her email account.

Initially, Comey was going to charge her with being "grossly negligent," a violation of the law which subjects one to prison and fines. In his public statement that sounded like an indictment, Comey changed his description of her actions to "extremely careless," a distinction without a difference, but which he said was not an indictable offense because she didn't intend to violate the law.

About Comey's rationale for changing the words in his draft memo, the public does not yet know, but Comey testified before a Senate committee that it made him "mildly nauseous" when he considered the FBI's impact on the election.

Gregg Jarrett, an attorney who frequently offers legal opinions on the Fox News Channel, has been keeping track of Hillary Clinton's skirting of the laws and escapes from its penalties.

Here is his account of only a few recent examples of what might be a twist on the song "I Fought the Law (And the Law Won)." In her case, Hillary fought the law and bested it.

Speaking about a deal that allegedly allowed for the sale of some U.S. uranium to the Russians via a Canadian, who heavily contributed to Bill Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, then receiving $500,000 for a speech in Moscow (a sale some other commentators say didn't occur), Jarrett says, "...it's a crime to use a public office to confer a benefit to a foreign government in exchange for money ... it can be prosecuted under a variety of anti-corruption laws passed by Congress, including the federal bribery statute (18 USC 201-b), the federal gratuity statute (18 USC 201-c), the mail fraud statute (18 USC 1341), the wire fraud statute (18 USC 1343), the program bribery statute (18 USC 666) and the Travel Act (18 USC 1952)."

As for the anti-Trump Russian dossier, which Democrats, including those associated with the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid for, Jarrett says it's a violation of federal law to pay foreign nationals to impact a U.S. political campaign (52 USC 30121), and it's also a violation to file a false or misleading campaign report (52 USC 30101).

"I've been hearing Democrats say, 'Oh, those are just civil penalties,'" says Jarrett. "They are not. The government produces a book -- it's 319 pages -- outlining the federal election laws and all those who have been criminally prosecuted and ended up in prison."

How does Hillary Clinton get away with it? Jarrett says: "The Clintons are escape artists that would make Houdini proud. Whenever they are caught dangling their feet over the edge of illegality, they usually dummy up."

He pointed out that when Hillary Clinton spoke with FBI investigators about her private email server last year, she said, "I cannot recall" 39 times.

If the Justice Department refuses to appoint a special counsel to hold Hillary accountable under the laws the rest of us can't escape, and if Robert Mueller won't do it, then Congress should continue with its own investigations.

We often hear "no one is above the law." That has never applied to the Clintons.

I remember the good old days when we thought "Lock her up!" was actually going to be something more than a catchy campaign slogan. How long did it take Trump to backtrack once the election was over? Days or hours?

Correct. There is no political will to prosecute Hillary because there is no public outcry. A public outcry only occurs when the media creates and supports it.

Absolutely. And, the establishment doesn't care, so long as they maintain power.

I really think one of C.S. Lewis’ quotes applies here:

“There is a Cosmic civil war going on and we are stuck in rebel territory”

Bill and Hillary are very much rebel royalty which provides them some short term protection but ultimately.....?

This can be Fixed by We the People, but it would take drastic measures and would require a couple Loud Mouths on the Radio and TV to jump on the Bandwagon to force the issue.

Start preaching JURY NULLIFICATION in All Federal Trials across this Country until Justice is Served regarding the Clinton/Obama cabal.

This will absolutely wake them up. but fat chance getting Hannity or Rush to jump on board

I don’t recall any public outcry when Martha Stewart, or Scooter Libby got raked over the coals by the FBI.

“No law seems to touch them. No regulation seems to control them. No prosecutor wants to take the risk of holding either Clinton accountable for anything”........

You included the most import issue of WHY the Clinton’s skate free for the hundreds (or more) crimes they have undoubtedly committed and/or orchestrated. The answer is that NO ONE wants to enforce the existing laws of the land that could easily put both Bubba and the Pants Suit Hag away for life, NO ONE HAS THE BALLS TO DO IT!

Bill was found in contempt of court which he did not contest. He was also disbarred by the Supreme Court and the state of Arkansas. It’s funny how even Conservatives don’t remember that.

When the Cllintons die they are going to have to put a large fence around their graves because there will be a long line waiting to pay their respects.

The Clintons also patented the “that’s Old News, let’s move on meme.

Whenever their wongdoing surfaces, they say nothing,,,,,,they wait awile, then pop up with the “old News” meme.

When Bill got lewinskied, first thing they did.....the Clintons took a poll that told them to hold off....to lie/deny as long as they could....til Bill finally confessed.

The sooner it’s understood the Clintons are not subject to the same laws as the rest of us, the sooner it begins to make sense. Yes, it’s frustrating and aggravating to see two obvious criminals slip the loop of the justice, but their immunity from the boundaries of laws is just an unfortunate wrinkle in how the legal system operates in this country.

The political hit she took a year ago will be the closest to justice that witch will ever face.

You got that right!

That is why I am making plans to have the beer concession stand outside the cemetery. Think I will have one at the Jane Fonda gravesite also. The profit potential is enormous.

FILEGATE

(If you don’t know about it just Google it)

Back in 1993 and 1994 when Bill was president and Hillary appointed herself “Co-president” she illegally got possession of hundreds of FBI files on prominent people and political figures - especially republicans and officials in previous presidential administrations.

The actual names on the files and number of files purloined is known only to the Clintons and their cohorts in the crime.

Hillary has been able to use this illegally obtained confidential and secret information to cajole, threaten and blackmail her way out of other criminal scrapes for the last 25 years.

Sure it is now dated but there is still enough there to put both direct and indirect pressure on the people in Washington who wield the real power today.

You think she doesn’t have the real confidential info on John McCain? John Kerry? Nancy Pelosi? Supreme Court Justices? Other senators and congressmen? Wealthy Hollywood perverts? Billionaire donors to the DNC? Other influential billionaires? Black leaders? Labor union officials?

Many may be retired today but a few phone calls from them to people in their debt still works wonders.

Anytime we see someone in Washington make a decision or take an action that seems to be completely out of character you can bet there is pressure of this sort behind the scenes.

How did the democrats get John Roberts to make an ass of himself on the Obamacare decision? They had dirt on him.
It might not have come directly from Hillary’s FBI files but it’s a good example of how Washington still works.
