These days I go out of my way to avoid hearing Christmas Music.
Wal-mart already has Christmas displays up.
Back in the day, Johnny Carson got irritated at one of his sponsors for putting Christmas ribbons around the onstage appliances before Thanksgiving. During the live commercial break, he left his desk, went onto the set and ripped the ribbons off mid-commercial. It was hilarious.
This is the first shrink I’ve agreed with since Bob Hartley.
constant Christmas music is great starting December 23. There are only so many Christmas songs and far fewer good ones so they are overplayed on hourly rotation
Ditto
In moderation, it can be joyous. If you have to listen to it over and over again, it can be injurious to mental health. I think that they use a similar technique to convince prisoners at Gitmo to be more compliant.
Me too.
One local radio station starts 24/7 on Christmas music right before Thanksgiving.
And it’s the same dang 50 songs played over and over and over.
And if I hear Mariah or Whitney screech out one more Christmas Song - I will go ballistic.
Not to mention a Chipmunks song.
These days I enjoy holiday music..........While I have Sirius in my car, I tune into the holiday channels when I wish to be uplifted............
OMG....Christmas music is FABULOUS and HAPPY!!
Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’ makes me nauseous.
