In a night of many firsts, several minority and LGBT candidates won local elections that echoed the blue wave in which Democrats won races large and small. Two openly transgender candidates won races as well as the first Sikh mayor in New Jersey and first African-American mayors in major cities.

Yes Day 1 is when it should have happened!

Trump lost a LOT of support on day one when he decided not to pursue charges against crooked Hillary as he promised. A lot of failures since then have sprung from that lack of resolve.

Trump isn’t Attorney General, nor can he order the Attorney General to charge Hillary. So what do you want him to do? He’s repeatedly gone on Twitter and said “Why aren’t you going after the Clintons?” and “Where’s the Justice Department?” (paraphrasing, there). He could fire Jeff Sessions, true, but our USELESS Congress has already told him they won’t accept that and won’t confirm whoever it is that he puts in there to replace him, and they stopped him from firing him and making an interim appointment when they went on one of their frequent vacations.
I’m glad that a Sikh became a mayor.
“In the Year 2525, if man is still alive...”
And if straight Christian whites make up the minority in some areas and somehow get elected, will the CNNs of the world be praising minorities being elected?
Wow, can’t wait to see how this all works out for em.
When elections are about race or sexual perversion, we’ve lost the Republic.
Day one is when is should have BEGUN.
Trump made the promise. That he can’t fulfill it, regardless of his ability, is his problem.
In fact, he even repudiated his promise by saying that all is good.
Why are women included with “minorities?” They are slightly more than 50% of the population.
Slowly but surely the demrats and the libertarians, along with the old media, have convinced republicans not to vote for republicans. This strategy is for the simple minded, but it seems to be working for them.
Socialism marches on!
Yep, and that is what enemy #1 is doing, hyping the perverts and african supremacy.
I hear you, Jigs. Me, too.
"...first African-American mayors in major cities." You cannot name one single city that has thrived and prospered under a black mayor. Almost all have become fetid cesspools of corruption and cronyism of incompetents. Too bad you can't buy futures on cities. We could clean up.
Luke 17:1-4
7 Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2 It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 So watch yourselves.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. 4 If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."
NIV
Many blacks want white women in particular removed from “special treatment”; there is nothing “disadvantaged” about most of them (just like white men). I believe affirmative action will collapse when enough blacks realize it is used to replace THEM with Hispanics and women. I already see this very much at work in the workforce, both at my job and on local police departments and such.
