Wear an fire proof suit and helmet...dance up to the furnace with a pipe and shoot oxygen at the plaug to start the molen iron flow.
Our furnace was a lot bigger than the one shown above...I remember each run was several hundred tons.

Interesting. When I worked in a steel mill, back in the summer of 1951, the plug was removed with a shaped charge on the end of a long pole. On one day another worker and I were watching the operation. When the charge went off, he dropped to the floor. He got up, with a sheepish grin on his face, and said, "The German 88's sounded like that."
