It’s odd that the media doesn’t hail this “first responder” in the gratuitous homilies so often reserved for their chosen figures of authority - really odd.
The first sentence states the murderer was an Air Force officer so I stopped reading right there. The murderer was an enlisted troop. Big difference and people who call themselves journalists and think themselves as smart should at least try to research their topics and gain a modicum of understanding before spouting off on said topic.
“The first sentence states the murderer was an Air Force officer so I stopped reading right there”.
Same here.
Wait, do you mean that a spoiled millionaire who plays with balls for a living and who takes a knee during the national anthem isn’t the only kind of hero out there?
Woah.
The nutcase shooter was not an officer, he was enlisted.
Who ever wrote this article was full of crap. Officer, no way.
"...Air Force officer..."
I see it all the time in family law; some insecure lowlife who takes it out on a male baby who is not his—despicable.
You should read it.
It really is a good article once you get past the error in the first line.
Beautifully expressed. Thanks for posting.
Same here!
Shapiro is screwed up.
The shooter was NEVER an AF Officer!
Air Force Officer?
This is why only reporters that wore the uniform should comment.
The guy was an enlisted man, not an officer.
It really is a good article once you get past the error in the first line.
I agree. It was a mistake, but the article is respectful and pays tribute to the two men who stopped the shooter.
Hope the president also pays tribute to them in some form.
What does the “O” in N.C.O. stand for ?
“O” stands for officer but the highest rank attained by Kelley was Airmen First Class (A1C) before being demoted to Airman Basic as part of his court martial punishment. Shapiro did blow it and should issue a correction for his article.
Pretty small mistake to cause one to ignore a great story....
Don't be an idiot.
“...a discharged Air Force officer...”
He could try accuracy. He was an E-4 (Senior Airman) reduced in rank to E-1 (Airman Basic).
