The gunman who killed at least 26 people in a church south of San Antonio was kicked out of the Air Force after cutting a plea deal in which he admitted to fracturing his stepsons skull, the former head of Air Force prosecutors said Monday.
Devin Patrick Kelley faced at least five years in a military prison for attacking the baby and also his wife, the former top Air Force prosecutor, retired Col. Don Christensen, said.
An Air Force jury handed him a 12-month sentence in 2012, he said.
He entered pleas of guilty to fracturing his sons skull, his stepsons skull, and to assaulting his wife. And as a result of that there really is no question about his guilt, Christensen said. He should not have been able to get a gun (after Kellys discharge from the service.) There is no way this man should have legally owned a gun based upon what he was convicted of.

You crack a baby’s skull and you will forever be clear and present danger to others.
No argument there, right?
He served 12 months. Shoulda been 12 years. But he did time. But I have no problem with additional punishment in terms of a lifetime ban on owning or possessing a weapon.
With rights comes responsibility. And this sick POS forfeited his rights forever.
Right?
I mightily condemn the AF for this travesty of “justice.”
Any excuse for a man who fractures a small child’s skull in a brutal assault on that innocent child deserves a full sentence and a DD. In this case the lenience of the AF “justice” system released a monster who proceeded to murder 27 innocent people. What, in the name of God, could the AF “prosecutor” have been thinking of to cut such a monstrous deal???
Along with the Bergdahl case this is a total disgrace to the whole military “justice” system. President Trump, as C in C, must clean the whole rotten thing out.
I say this as an honorably discharged former Army officer whose active duty was done stateside in 1968 and 1969.
Now THAT’S tellin’ it like it is!
New thread just up....

The man who police say shot and killed 26 people in a Texas church was able to purchase firearms because the Air Force failed to enter his assault conviction into a federal database, according to a report.........

So, these days in the military, fracturing your “stepson’s” skull and assaulting your wife is only a “misdemeanor”. Now that’s ****ed up. No wonder Bergdahl is being set free.
“I suspect his poor second wife was being helped and supported by her Christian mother, who attended the church. Being a hate-filled atheist, this would not site well. Just my thoughts.”
Sounds about right.
I agree.
For fracturing children’s skulls he should still be in prison.
Going soft on evil people always comes back to haunt one.
They don’t accept it as an act of kindness and a helping hand - they just see their benefactor as a sucker.
Although I’m former Army, I’m NOT saying my service is any better in dealing with human debris like this thing; just look at the Bergdahl case. What I am saying is that, including those horrible collisions that the Navy has had,, we have a whole military establishment that’s been so horribly sodomized, feminized, and demoralized that its ability to perform its vital mission has been jeopardized. President Trump MUST CLEAN THE WHOLE HORRIBLE THING OUT.
Why wasnt this guy in jail?
He entered pleas of guilty to fracturing his sons skull, his stepsons skull, and to assaulting his wife. (my emphasis)
The plea was entered and accepted in 2012, the fourth year of Obola's reign, plenty of time for Obola's rot to have entered the military "justice" system. We can trace these 27 dead innocents to Obola himself.
If this sick POS would beat a child, he’d also beat a dog, right?
Yeah right.
You win.
How would anyone know that?
Pretty sure it was his stepson.
And abuse a dog? Where are this dirtbag’s parents?
And plea deals generally mean the charges were initially worse than the plea.
By asking people who went to that church. My personal opinion, is this all bullsh*t and that he was acting on part of Antifa. He wore all black like Antifa and wore a bandanna across his face like Antifa and once again like Stephen Paddock the deep state is holding back the truth from the public
Innocent people die every day from accidental causes, I have no problem removing harmful elements from society for just cause. TURN THEM OFF! problem solved. It is civil governments duty to protect civilians and our's has been failing miserably, the seeds planted by decades of soft on crime government are germinating and this problem is going to get much much worse before it gets better.
A liberal friend of mine once told me, "it's a good thing you're not in charge" at the time I thought my methods would be a bit harsh and that he was probably right but if I was in charge back then this puke would have been talking to the Just Judge way before he had a chance to become a mass murderer.
With rights comes responsibility. And this sick POS forfeited his rights forever.
I would just add that he forfeited ALL his rights, including the one to breathe free air.
