I cannot believe how different turning 50 was, compared to turning 40. 50 is the start of all the trouble. I can’t imagine living to nearly 99 like my grandmother did. I want to get to Heaven way sooner than that!

Had a broken rib at 18 years old. It hurt like hell and to cough was hell. If you must cough one must wrap ones arms in front of your chest so it does not hurt so damn bad. Five broken ribs on someone of Rand Paul’s age must be horrific.
This is BS. An assault resulting in such injuries, invading the Senator’s property, should be a felony...
We are sheep today because we follow the law and the left does not. When and hopefully never law and order breaks down totally all us sheep are mostly armed and many of us have years of experience using firearms. At this point the rules of law are null and void.
It will not even be a contest.
In your situation at age 18, the classic reply to the question “does it hurt” is “only when I breath”. Senator Paul is going to have a VERY uncomfortable and painful healing process.
Oh man, that’s awful! Broken ribs are so painful and they can’t cast your torso so you just have to walk around on eggshells. Five ribs? Terrible. Also inexcusable.

I am alarmed buy this whole incident. Sounds like he was hurt bad. You don’t see a US Senator attacked every day. I guess MAGA is not always easy. Perhaps charges will be upgraded. I think Paul is one of the good guys. Lets hope he goes to jail and his career is ruined.
I remember John C. Stennis of MS being shot in maybe 1971. He survived to defeat Haley Barbour in 1982 and then stepped down so Trent Lott could win the seat in 1988.

18 US Code 351(e) - assault on a member of Congress resulting in personal injury is a federal crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Somebody interrupt the shuffleboard at the old people’s home and let Jeff Sessions know (unless he has recused himself from this also)
Something is not right about this story. Has a reason been given? If so, did it make any sense? Did Ryan agree to lesser charges for some reason? Is something being covered up?
Initially when the police arrived Paul declined medical care. Rand Paul thought his injuries were minor, it seems.
This is quite severe and debilitating.
