Getting one’s “butt kicked” is generally a slang remark of disparagement, as in someone lost a fight. I have never yet heard it used in a context which did not seem to be disparaging the person whose “butt” was kicked, but maybe you are the first to use it without intending to mock the target.

Even a very small fall can do terrific damage to someone who’s not expect thing it. OTOH it’s possible to jump off a ten foot drop and not be injured if one’s prepared for it. I know, I’ve lived for over thirty Yeats with a bad left foot and ankle that were broken in six places due to a totally unexpected four foot drop. Had it been ten feet that I was prepared for, no injury at all.
