O’Connor didn’t “screw” Reagan. Reagan always took the “respectable” line on judges and abortion: It’s improper to have any “litmus test.” I choose judges based on their qualifications.
Meanwhile, Democrats, who invented the “no litmus tests” bugaboo, have left it behind, and are out there screaming, “I will appoint only judges who will protect a woman’s right to [kill her baby]!”

Reagan wanted to over turn Roe vs Wade. He specifically chose his appointees with the idea that he would end Roe vs Wade.
He was vehemently disappointed by the way his nominees voted once they got on the court. Do not take my word for it, take Mark Levin. He was part of Reagan’s administration. He knows first hand.
