The number of refugees admitted into the country during the first month of FY 2018 by the Trump administration plummeted to 1,242 an 87 percent decline from the 9,945 admitted during the first month of FY 2017 by the Obama administration.
The percentage of refugees admitted who are Muslim declined dramatically as well, from 45 percent in October 2016 to 23 percent in October 2017, according to the State Department interactive website.
Of particular note is the precipitous drop in the number of refugees admitted from the seven countries whose citizens were temporarily banned from traveling to the United States under the first travel ban, Executive Order 13679, issued by President Trump on January 27, 2017.

0% Moslems is the ideal, but the reduction is most welcome.
To many. Try harder
But....WINNING!

Those numbers need to be negative. The NYC murders underscore the need to get these people out of here. A total moratorium on immigration is in order. For at least ten years?
Needs to be a fairly large negative number, not a positive one.
I’d say that’s moving in the right direction. With 300K refugees going out in the next few months, that will become a negative refugees number overall.
The refugee resettlement industry which receives almost all of its estimated $1 billion annual funding from the federal government is already feeling the budget pinch resulting from the diminished number of new arrivals
Good!!
Where are the refugees going?
Refugee Resettlement Watch has this handy map from Oct., 2017:
So. Much. Winning! :)

I’m on-board.
We’ve paused immigration before. Absolutely do it again for ten years.
Round up all illegals and Deport them ASAP!
If they return illegally...... ??? Take measures necessary to completely solve the problem.
Wow! Even better than I had hoped!
Thats 1,242 too many.
L
Much like other liberal industries:
Welfare
Grievance
Poor
Homeless
ad nauseum
Plus ....... if we implemented some common sense principles concerning welfare distribution, we could extend any moratorium on immigration indefinitely. We’d save money by giving welfare only to those who can’t work and give the rest of them a sense of accomplishment and self esteem.
So from 4,475 to 286 ! Both volume and percent being down.
And probably extremism way down to9 for the ones admitted.
9,000. .45
1,242 . .23
Welfare taps into the darkest parts of human nature. The more you give somebody, the more they resent it. We are seeing that in spades after 50 - 60 years of uncontrolled welfare. You are absolutely right - self-esteem and self-worth only come from accomplishing something and you never get that on welfare. The country was so much better when local agencies handled the truly needy cases and the monstrous, uncaring federal government was not involved. Can we ever get back to that?
What is REALLY NEEDED is to CHANGE THE LAWS that give president virtually unlimited authority to admit people who may claim to meet some criteria.
While I agree that ideally, we should admit ZERO refugees, since we don’t border any countries that are at war, if we could at least have a HARD LIMIT on admissions, we will limit the damage that a future America-hating president can do. Pick a number...maybe 25,000 per year - AND THAT IS IT. Everyone else is out of luck.
(and I know, 25,000 is still a lot, but it stands a higher chance of not getting re-written by the courts)
Likely not, not as long as self-serving politicians realize they can stay in office by buying votes with generous entitlement disbursements.
That's how grifters like maxine waters stay in office.
