President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he would consider sending Sayfullo Saipov, the Uzbek national who plowed a rented truck through a bike lane full of cyclists and pedestrians on Tuesday, to the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
'I would certainly consider that, yes. I would certainly consider that. Send him to Gitmo,' Trump said.
The president also declared that he is already moving to terminate the State Department's diversity-oriented visa lottery program, which granted Saipov entry into the United States in 2010.
'I am today starting the process of terminating the diversity lottery program. I'm going to ask Congress to immediately initiate or get rid of this program,' he said.
Trump called Saipov 'an animal' during remarks before a cabinet meeting at the White House.
'He came in through the diversity program as you know, and were going to stop it,' the president vowed.

So how many times did you vote for that skank from Arkansas?
Sorry, I”ve been solidly with Trump since the “Mexican Rapist” speeech. How many times has POTUS said one thing on important issues while his admin does another? A lot.
Everyone gets MirandizedI read nothing into that.
Apparently, there is a mechanism to delay Miranda. That wasn’t followed by the FBI and Grahmnesty of all people was hot about it today. Some think Mattis didn’t want this hot potato and the FBI was happy to oblige.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could follow Trump with Gorka as president?
I just turned on CNN for the hell of it. Kirsten Powers and some other liberal female were on there with that blonde dude, what’s his name I forget and TVsoff right now, anyways I am livid and could watch no more than 5minutes. They are idiots and make me sick. Taking issue with our president calling terrorist animal. Basically they were trying to say that this recent terrorist is small potatoes, running down innocent people doesn’t happen all that often, we still shouldn’t keep certain people out, judges have the right to over rule the president an congress etc. They come off a anti Americans, lacking common sense, and not caring one iota the safety of fellow citizes. Self righteous jerks. They had a couple conservative guys that were shaking their heads you could tell they were dumbfounded at some things being argued with them
That is a nice reworking of Mao’s quote about the peasants.
I mean, uh, the Vegas shooter was already most of the way to room temperature by the time the cops got to him!
She got called on it and said she “misspoke,” but that the point stands that he doesn’t care about people of color.
Do they give checkmarks to just anybody now? I don’t know WTF that even is.
Gorka would be great. Considering his NBC status, I guess he’ll never reach the level of President. Although, since Hussein lowered THAT bar, maybe...
The point is, there was no point in sending the Las Vegas shooter to Gitmo, whatever his color, because (a) he was already dead, and (b) in any case, there is no evidence he was connected to the Religion of Pieces, which are the critters Gitmo was created to house.
Borat warned America about them Uzbekistanis. They have bone for brain!
Or an electric car......
Hes an enemy soldier out of uniform.
Hang him as a spy.
I thank GOD, HE choose Donald.

My goodness and please stop with your stupid male pronouns. It is so pre-middle ages.
Out of curiosity, can someone with some criminal legal experience pipe in here.
How do tweets that the president make affect his chances of getting a “fair trial”.
I’ve noticed that Trump has commented on several different issues regarding people who havent been “proven guilty” over the year I’ve been following his tweets.
Can the defense use those tweets to claim he can’t get a fair trial?
I’m only asking because it reminded me of the Manson trial when Manson got a hold of a newspaper and flashed the “Manson Guilt Nixon Declares” headline to the jury.
Gitmo? They should the POS straight to Hell where he belongs.
He needed to be shot during the attempt by a dozen armed bicyclists.
When the risk of instant and immediate justice becomes too great, the attacks will lessen. That New York (and so many other cities) have made this impossible is an indictment of the city government, who are as much at fault as the suspect.
>>Sorry, Ive been solidly with Trump since the Mexican Rapist speeech.<<
Me too, so I’m careful not to criticize him because (1) he’s already done more for America and its citizens than any POTUS has done since Reagan, and (2) he gets an enormous amount of hatred and criticism from the Rats and Rinos, so why add to it? I too am disappointed about some of what he’s done or hasn’t done, but I’m not going to jump on him about it for the reasons I’ve mentioned.
