Like any profession, there are good docs and bad docs.
Hope someone gave some pain meds to Kershaw after the last outing. I assume he’ll be going on short rest tonight. Hope they don’t burn his arm out.
In my profession I see more bad docs than good docs.
I once took a deposition of a renowned orthopedic surgeon who stated that in 35 years of doing spinal surgeries he never once wrote a “triplicate”. He told his patients that after they left the hospital, if they wanted narcotics that they would have to find a new doctor.
That guy was a good doc.
Let’s hope Kershaw wasn’t given narcotics. You don’t want to mask pain if you are a pitcher. It can result in permanent damage. If anti-inflammatories don’t stop the pain, then the problem is going to be exacerbated if you were to go out and throw a ball at 90 mph.
I once tried throwing a ball as hard as I could with a radar gun. It clocked in at about 60mph. I can’t imagine the mechanics to produce a 90mph fast ball. These guys have change ups in the 80’s.
’ I assume hell be going on short rest tonight.’
I thought Yu Darvish was going...if anyone should be rested, it’s he...
