Full title: White House chief of staff John Kelly on special counsel indictments: 'Let the legal justice system work'

In a wide-ranging interview on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” Monday night, hours after charges were announced against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, White House chief of staff John Kelly said the administration believes the law should run its course before jumping to conclusions.

“All of the activities, as I understand it, that [Paul Manafort and his aide Rick Gates] were indicted for were long before they ever met Donald Trump, or had any association with the campaign,” Kelly said. “I think the reaction of the administration is let the legal justice system work — everyone’s … presumed innocent and we’ll see where it goes.”

Asked if a special counsel is necessary regarding the recent revelations that the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee funded research that led to the controversial dossier of allegations about President Trump’s connections to Russia, Kelly said he believes U.S. citizens have a right to know what’s going on behind the scenes of their government.

Trump should adopt the habit of pardoning everyone the Mueller political witch hunt indicts within seven days of each indictment.

I find it very interesting that Trump has been so unruffled by all this crap. He must know something we don’t.

Mueller can file charges at the state level to prevent the POTUS from issuing any federal pardons.

Then Trump should just fire Mueller and put an end to the whole fiasco.

I told my wife this show is a loser. I like Laura and listen to her radio show, but I want red meat.

Hannity has an endless repeating monologue, leaving little time for his guests. I think Laura should do the opposite, and let her guests serve the red meat.

It’s Trump’s call...

and- begs the question whether Mueller is wearing a white hat, or a black hat?

He should have Sessions appoint a Special Counsel for Uranium One. Would be a lose-lose for Mueller... assertions that Sessions has recused himself and could not appoint a U1 SC would indicate a potential link between U1 and the Mueller investigation, which would require a Mueller resignation since he led the FBI while they were investigating the bribery case with U1. If the new SC was allowed to go forward, Mueller would be among those under investigation, and would have to resign.

Unfortunately Kelly does not understand that a carpetbag lynch mob rules DC swamp.

>>>He should have Sessions appoint a Special Counsel for Uranium One.

It would be special to see Mueller pulled in as witness & he explain what he knew was going with the Russian activity, including Russian Spys around U1.

He made more sense in those three minutes than the entire mainstream media has made in over two years.

“Hannity has an endless repeating monologue, leaving little time for his guests. I think Laura should do the opposite, and let her guests serve the red meat.”

Agreed. Laura is feisty and that’s what I like about her. Last night she seemed very reserved. I hope they don’t have such a tight leash on her that she can’t be herself on the show.

Hannity takes 2 minutes to ask a simple question, leaving a guest 30 seconds to speak. The man will not shut up. I haven’t watched his show in a long time.

And then during that 30 seconds he talks over and interrupts his guest...Hannity is unwatchable.

The interview with General Kelly was reassuring. I have no doubts that he is on our side.
