Full title: White House chief of staff John Kelly on special counsel indictments: 'Let the legal justice system work'
In a wide-ranging interview on Fox News The Ingraham Angle Monday night, hours after charges were announced against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, White House chief of staff John Kelly said the administration believes the law should run its course before jumping to conclusions.
All of the activities, as I understand it, that [Paul Manafort and his aide Rick Gates] were indicted for were long before they ever met Donald Trump, or had any association with the campaign, Kelly said. I think the reaction of the administration is let the legal justice system work everyones presumed innocent and well see where it goes.
Asked if a special counsel is necessary regarding the recent revelations that the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee funded research that led to the controversial dossier of allegations about President Trumps connections to Russia, Kelly said he believes U.S. citizens have a right to know whats going on behind the scenes of their government.

He is a steady hand and Im so glad he has President Trumps back

I agree. I saw that interview and was impressed.
You missed a good program. Laura had a very good line-up.
I didn’t see it but am not surprised, Kelly is a straight shooter and an honorable man.
Only if it is a fair investigation. I do have my doubts.
The Nunes interview was pretty good.
Lets git er done, folks!
I don’t have a subscription, but it looks like a good opinion article.
Begging Your Pardon, Mr. President
How Trump can shut down the special counsel probe and leave the Russia investigations to Congress.

Its good to hear you and the others here saying that. Many FReepers should be ashamed for the nasty comments they’ve made about other Trump administration officials without a shred of proof to justify them.
The court case will be held in Washington DC. DC had the highest percentage of voters, 93, that voted for Hillary. Does Gen. Kelly naively think Manafort can get a fair trial?
Moreover, when is the legal system going to get the Clintons and the DNC for collusion with the Russians and high treason? Thats like having Federal court for Hillary and the DNC in Wyoming.
‘Let the legal justice system work’
The DOJ and courts are politicized and corrupt. How does that work out?
Thank you, bigbob. I appreciate it and agree.
The Ingraham Angle - she’s got a winner with this show... John Kelly - what a wonderful man - and great interview.
Disregard my comment above about the Wall Street Journal article. I managed to read it, and it looks like a really bad idea.
Thanks FRiend, will to watch a replay.
This is how it works when the country finally has adult supervision. Thanks jazusamo.
Laura seemed a little nervous in her opening segment but that’s understandable. She’s got the first show wrapped and will relax and be fine. The Nunes interview was interesting. Kelly was good as well.
