That is the first reaction. But it is also a reaction that lets people assume the court has the authority to make a ruling even if that ruling is erroneous. Instead I believe a statement should be issued explaining the authority of the CIC to reverse or make policy regarding service in the U.S. military. A “go pound sand” response, if you will.
