One of President Trump's former advisers from his presidential campaign has pleaded guilty to lying to FBI agents investigating allegations of collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and the Russian government, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Monday .
George Papadopolous, the 30-year-old foreign policy adviser, pleaded guilty earlier this month, according to court filings unsealed on Monday. The DOJ unsealed the documents shortly after it announced charges against two other higher-ranking, Trump campaign officials Paul Manafort and Rick Gates.
Prosecutors charged Papadopolous with lying to investigators about his conversations with a foreign professor who told him that Russians had thousands of emails containing "dirt" on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
The Trump aide allegedly told the FBI that those conversations happened before he joined the campaign, statements rebutted by the Justice Department's timeline.

p
Popadopolous. Wasn’t he in the Vegas Vacation movie. Oh. Duh. Poppageorgio. Carry on.
Another process crime. Too bad he didn’t stuff classified documents in his socks because then he’d be free and clear.
Still nothing ,LOL
Why do people talk to investigators?
Hello, we would like to ask you some questions.
That’s nice.
What a lame charge...
Is this the best they have?
Reads like satire. Pathetic beyond words.
Don’t ask me no questions I’ll tell you no lies. If you want to talk fishing I guess that’ll be ok.
Nothing yet on indicting the Podesta brothers. Why am I not surprised?
George Papadopoulos

He previously advised the presidential campaign of Ben Carson and worked as a research fellow at the Hudson Institute, a conservative think tank in Washington. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has had meetings with the president of Cyprus and the prime minister of the United Arab Emirates. He obtained a masterss degree from the University of London in 2010.
On his LinkedIn page, Papadopolous lists among his awards and honors that he was U.S. Representative at the 2012 Geneva International Model United Nations.
Comey and Mueller can be liars and corrupt but you better not lie to the FBI.
Sort of like with the IRS now.
Still nothing on Trump. Surprise, Surprise.
That’s why you never talk to FBI unless you can record the conversation. They have an agent write everything down and if the AGENT writes something or infers something incorrectly and you say something different,m you go to jail.
Ive read that 2 FBI agents always interview people so they can testify and support their version of what was said.
Also, that if you insist on being interviewed in your attorneys office and having it filmed, they will react like vampires seeing a cross and refuse the interview.
All that to say, the deck is stacked against you without this preparation.
HRC has not commented on Manafort so maybe there’s more to come.
When are folks going to learn to use Hillary’s time tested response: “I do not remember”????
“Why do people talk to investigators?”
Even if you don’t say anything, you can be indicted for that. (Think: Martha Stewart).
