"A business owner in New England has found that a photo op with Donald Trump in the White House has a stiff price: his reputation and many of his customers. It's easy to see how your business could take lumps over politics. It's happened to the likes of Trump's own company as well as the restaurant chain Chick-fil-A and many others. And, as Dave Ratner, owner of Dave's Soda and Pet City chain, learned, even some business love from Trump can backfire."

There are two Chick Fil A franchises near me that do just under 10 million a year in gross revenue each
Thats crazy for fast food
More like a busy Cheesecake Factory
Probably a few In and Outs in hot spots do that too
The one on Sunset and Orange in Hollywood for sure
Its a 5-7 car double line all night
Evil leftist projectors...They WANT that business to suffer. So they say it to make it so.
Yep I remember hearing about that guy losing the job, losing a lot in life, because of his need to make his half baked political statement and put on the internet.
He thought he would be a hero to all his snarky liberal pals, for telling off a girl who works for Chick Fil A. Where are his liberal pals now that he needs a job?
He learned a good life lesson.
I am an idiot. I did not vote for Trump.
= = =
This - is why I would cease doing business with him.

I agree with you both!
And now I feel that way about Inc.
What a weakling. No wonder the NFL is failing. Billionaires and small business guys are bowing their knees to Trump haters.
There’s a regional chain headquartered not far from me that could become a phenomenon along the lines of In and Out if they wanted, but they’re privately held and expand fairly cautiously, “Cookout.” Their drivethroughs are open late, always slammed. Once was double lane drive through only, but have opened stores with dining rooms in more recent years in addition. It’s owned by Junior Samples’ daughter and her family, believe it or not.
HUH? I thought business was so bad that Chik Fil A started closing on Sundays. ;-)
The line at the Chik-Fil-A near me is 20 people deep pretty much all day and you never have to wait more than 5m to put your order in. By contrast, if the local Wendys has more than 3 people on line it takes them 10 minutes to take your order.
Both are doing very good, in fact people has named Chick-fil-A as their favorite. I love their spicy chicken sandwich.
The Boycott turned Chik Fil A here from being just an alternatve to Colonel Sanders to being THE place to go. Chik Fil A is annoying its neighbor because during the busiest parts of the day the parking lot they share is inaccessilbe to the Waffle House.
Oops didn’t proof read what I had copied & paste. Missed the “T”.
Their business increased and kept increasing. It was not a passing fad. People tried it because of the boycott and decided it was much better than Colonel Sanders or Popeye’s. The food is better and the attitudes of the staff are better.
Im not a fan of the food but still go about once a month to support them
The NFL is killing its brand and it’s been nowhere near the White House.
<...I am an idiot. I did not vote for Trump and I am not a Trump supporter...>
He identified himself pretty accurately....
So now he made the rest of his customers mad...
I cannot imagine that people do not realize you should not get political if you depend on customers or fans. No matter what you say or do you will alienate part of your customers/fans.
If every single leftist left the USA today (please do); tomorrow all the businesses who were still standing would do just fine.
Sounds like an opportunist whose plan backfired.
