Texans players met late Saturday to discuss how to protest as a team against Houstons owner Bob McNair over his controversial inmates running the prison comment.
The players could decide to all kneel together, and also discussed peeling the Texans decal off of their helmets or raising their fists, according to ESPN.
Whatever their demonstration winds up being, it wont be revealed before the game against the Seahawks.
McNair apologized for his words multiple time this weekend, saying: I am truly sorry to the players for how this has impacted them and the perception that it has created of me, which could not be further from the truth.

Unfortunately that cant happen. These players know they have the owners bent over and can do whatever they want.
It may be for the best. Millions of NFL fans are being pushed into becoming politically active.
Most will be Trump supporters.
Start trading them one by one to the browns until they get in line.
The last thing on anyone’s mind in the NFL is football. The whole league is a mess.
Guy apologizes and they want a pound of flesh. Fire them all. Terrible league filled with overpaid cry-babies.
Team should make new uni’s with prison stripes on them.
Warden, they didn’t appreciate your comments. Might have to increase visiting hours to get them calmed down.
inmates running the prison s/b “inmates running the asylum”
They are more insane than they are imprisoned.
I'd bench them, fine them, put them on waivers, then replace them with scabs.
Ah, what good will that do unless the NFL makes it MANDATORY to stand. Which they have the right to do.
Even then, I’ll know in my heart that many want to kneel.
I LOVE football and this whole thing is just a ####ing disaster.
The NY Jets Sack exchange would have never knelt.
And one of them had a muslim name!
But that was in the 80s. A million years ago...
When that happens, he should toss in the towel from the owners box, take the team off the field and suspend all who do it for actions against the team’s interests. If they had a legitimate complaint this is a union matter, not what they are doing. It is tantamount to throwing the game.
This is an owners/employee dispute over nothing more sinister than someone saying the immates are running the asylum. It is a simile nothing more. Ball in owners court now, what does he do?
If not for the existence of the NFL a good chunk of these thug players WOULD be living in an actual prison, and they know it. McNair’s comments apparently hit a bit too close to home.
Are the decals accesible? Aren't they under the outer shell of the helmet? Also, I can't imagine the league will let them play with non-standard helmets. In that case: Peel away!
They spend more time figuring out how to protest than they do on trying to win a game....
It doesn't matter. The Anthem is just a symptom of the disease.
The NFL has shown absolute genius in how to make a bad situation worse. They just keep reinforcing the boycott.
The owner was spot-on correct.
The prison needs to be locked down with harsh inmate punishment.
Theyll remove the logo from their helmets and they will refuse to cash their paychecks. Oh, wait. What? Theyre principled but not THAT principled.
Sounds like a good time to sell the prisoners!
