If Anthony Weiner is “ill,” then what about every high-school boy who’s sending pictures of his dinglebob to girls? Is there a cutoff age at which exposing yourself becomes a disease instead of ... whatever it was in high school ... good clean family fun?

“... what about every high school boy...”

I’m thinking if a high school boy sent a picture of his boy parts to say a 5 year old... then yes.... it isn’t good clean family fun.

I think the cutoff is when continuing to do so costs you your job, your wife and lands you in prison. I am pretty sure that any average high school kid understands where this line is. Probably its when he turns 18 and his girlfriend is 17. The only sex ed I got from my uptight parents was a talk on this age limit. (It almost killed my mom, who never looked at me while she explained it.)

Not age, but wealth and power. A drunken bum on the street would be sent to real prison while a teenager in the Kennedy family would get “treatment”.

Is that true? Boys are sending pictures of that to girls???? Not all, obviously, but who would do that? Good grief, I’m glad I’m not in high school anymore.

I teach in the fourth largest school district in the nation. In our neck of the woods, the powers that be have pretty well stopped sexting by making a felony example of some middle school kids and forever putting them on the sex offender lists nationwide. The serious sex offenders we have (the real rapists) don't usually start with texting. They're of course still out there. But the horny middle school kids are now just watching regular porn instead of sending it via cell phone.

When I was going through high school back in the 1970s, exposing oneself was considered a deviant crime that would get you expelled, shunned and sent to reform school. That was not normal behavior of high school boys, that I can tell you!
