Dont get me wrong, Cruz is better than most, but never forget, Cruz can not stay in the political game without the big money from his rich donor class. He has no choice except follow their orders to push their agenda. In the 2016 campaign Cruz received $40 million from just 3 or 4 very rich donors. If you combine all the donations to him from Freepers, it perhaps wont add up to 1 million.
If we picked Cruz, we probably lose the Senate & definitely lose The White House!
Do you really think those 2X Obama voters would've voted for Cruz in PA, MI or WI? LOL

If the voters and congress critters BOTH knew the Constitution, Cruz would never be a candidate for the WH.
In the same situation as BO'B, he is born of only one American citizen Parent (rather than two)
And the citizenship of his Mother is oft' times questionable (as was BOBs) That he found his way onto the floor of the Senate is still a mystery; our Constitution would never have intended that to occur. During his tenure, perhaps there will be time and energy for the WH to make clear exactly what our Constitution intended to see THIS does not happen again. IE..same with the anchor baby issue, it is a slow process after all these years in believing the untruths.

Hope you did not think I was supporting Cruz in 2016.
Besides being on both sides of the cheap labor express,
my main reason was as you described, there was no chance
Cruz could defeat Hillary. Only Trump had the personality, self-financing and THE CROWDS. I saw the crowds first hand in Everett, WA, which is liberal majority area.
