Back in El Salvador, the Jesuits ran (and still run) the UCA—University of Central America. During the era of El Salvador’s guerrilla war the UCA was home to the “Popular Church” and its Marxist “Theology of Liberation.
According to Monsignor Alfredo Delgado, the fully radicalized priests stayed in a dormitory called UCA One. Priests that were just very liberal stayed in UCA Two. And those few priests who still persisted in living according to all that old Bible and Jesus stuff had to live off-campus in Santa Tecla about 16 kilometers away.
