Damontre Moore was in his first season with the Cowboys
Cowboys place-kicker Dan Bailey injured his groin Sunday, and to make room for a temporary replacement, Dallas needed to release a player. Their decision to cut Damontre Moore, Coach Jason Garrett said Wednesday, had nothing to do with the defensive end’s protests during the national anthem.
Moore and defensive tackle David Irving have been the only Dallas players to protest. Neither knelt or sat, but both had staged brief demonstrations while standing as pregame renditions of “The Star-Spangled Banner” ended. The timing appeared to be an effort to skirt an edict from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who said earlier this month that any players of his seen “disrespecting the flag” would be benched.
“We cannot in the NFL, in any way, give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag,” Jones said. “We cannot do that.”
Moore had been raising his fist as the anthem concluded, but he changed that to a salute before Sunday’s game against the 49ers. After promising to “do something,” Irving held a fist over his heart during the anthem, then quickly raised it afterward...

Nobody cares anymore.I had a friend who owned a store in a Mall.They advertised a local star football payer would be signing autographs.Mentioned it at dinner and my son said “I want this” Went to the store -the line was out the Mall and around the block.I walked to the front and asked the owner if I could have a quick autograph for my son who I had with me.He took me in the back room and said the guy was with his agent and they were shaken him down for more money.What are you gonna do.I left he gave them barter in goods-bling and he gave me the signed card the next day.Some of them are not in it for the game

On the same day, they released Kellen Moore - a man as respectful of the country as can be, so I believe the Cowboys have good cover for this move.
See ya. Maybe the NFL players demanding Kaepernick get his job back can chip in to help him maintain his lifestyle. That would show me they are serious about his status. So far, no takers. Now this dud can join that club. Maybe Dallas County is hiring some manual laborers?
Meanwhile, baseball still stops to sing God Bless America in mid 7th inning. And I am sitting here watching baseball.

More impressive is that maybe half of those standing with their hand on their heart during the anthem at the beginning of the game aren't even U.S. citizens.
