Duck Dynasty stars Miss Kay and Phil Robertson are known for their kind deeds and penchant for sharing the gospel and during a recent trip to NYC and Washington D.C., a simple gesture from Miss Kay led to a transformative conversation.
Miss Kay explained in a video uploaded to Phil Robertsons Facebook page on Thursday that she decided to seek out the maid who cleaned her room so she could give her a thank you gift, explaining how the interaction sparked a conversation about the gospel.
I went to find the lady that cleaned my room and I found her and she thought she was in trouble, Miss Kay said. But I said, No, I just want to give you something and I gave her something and then I gave her a big hug and I kissed her on the cheek.
"A Hug From Miss Kay Changed This Woman's Life"
"It was all because of one little hug and a kiss on the cheek from Miss Kay in NYC "
"Posted by Phil Robertson "The Duck Commander" on Thursday, October 26, 2017"
The cleaning woman began to cry and continued to hug Miss Kay, which surprised the former A&E star quite a bit.
But then Miss Kay learned later on that her decision to hug the woman actually was a big deal, as it was the first time a customer had ever shown her such respect.
In her 14 years working there she had never been hugged by a customer, Miss Kay said.
But the interaction didnt end there, as Phil Robertson proceeded to speak with the cleaning woman about the central message of the Bible: Jesus Christs life, death and resurrection.
I got a piece of paper and I drew an arrow coming down out of heaven I said, Two thousand seventeen years ago, year one, God came down in flesh. She said, Really?' he recounted. I said, Yup he died on the cross for all of our sins, yours and mine. And they put him in a tomb, three days later he resurrected from the dead, he came back to life.'
Phil Robertson asked the woman if she believed this message that all her sins were removed and she said that she did.
Tears came in her eyes. She said, Oh my goodness, really? I said, Thats what happened,' he continued. I said, Find you a Bible and Ill write these verses down and you can check those.'
The interaction proves, once again, that a simple act of kindness can go quite a long way.
Thanks!
What a sweet story. I love Miss Kay.
It’s amazing how one person in everyday life can have an impact that lasts for years or a lifetime.
Last fall while camping deep in the NC back country a bear hunter was training his dogs and came into our camp as one of his dogs was working its way down the ridge on a logging road.
We asked him many questions about dogs and hunting, offered him coffee and had a great time talking with him.
The next day he showed up again just to talk. Apparently the typical campers in this area are snot nosed elitists that that in his words, “treat us like dirt”. He shared the Gospel with us and said ‘I love y’all and anytime you’re here you’re welcome at my church.’
He teared up when he said the last words. It’s been a year and I still think about it at least once every day.
And yet... Mohammed bore nobody else’s sin away.
So who cares about the horse?
It was a gospel share.
I love the “arrow from heaven.” Better than anything Cupid could ever do. A truly God inspired moment.
GOD BLESS THEM REDNECKS
Mohammed: "Slaughter the infidel wherever you find him ..."
Well, do these differ, unless the character of the God that is heeded also differs? If Jesus only had an Allah like that of Islam to preach about, the results would be the same.
Jesus IS God.
Mohammed was a ‘prophet’ of an entirely different entity.
But still it would be “slaughter the infidel” unless something else were true.
Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life.
Mohammed preached something other than the Truth.
But why isn’t the Truth “Slaughter the infidel”?
“ that all her sins were removed ”
No such thing happened.
“So who cares about the horse?”
Interesting though. Probably is the source of that saying....
“....and the horse you rode in on.”
Maybe it never happened to YOU. Otherwise you’d instantly understand.
Because Jesus testified to the truth and was the fullfillment of OT prophetic scripture.... Mohammed was a war Lord who stole from multiple religions in an attempt to conquer. Mohammed’s message conflicts with eyewitness accounts of those who knew Jesus personally.
wow- You read her heart huh? Amazing powers you have there-
that would make him....closest to a horse’s a$$.
