Wow, had no idea Norman Lloyd was still alive. I also mainly remember him from Saboteur.

I went to the first game of the '67 Series.Box seat,3rd base side (my Dad got me the tickets through Tony C's father,his friend).Jim Lonbourg vs Bob Gibson.Red Sox lost.

Damn!

Good for him - if he caught Game 2, he certainly picked the right game to come back to - that was one of the best games I've seen in a while.

The game itself is pretty much the same, but the surrounding nonsense - the laser sound effects and the personal theme music for each batter - must have been startling. And I'm glad he was able to cope with the heat at his age - hot down in LA right now.

He’s the last surviving member of Welles’ Mercury Theater. They all went to California when Welles got a contract from RKO but Lloyd became impatient with the wait for production to begin and went back to NYC. So he missed out on being in ‘Citizen Kane’.
