This is ridiculous. The assassination was 54 years ago, the House investigation was 32 years ago, and we’ve been waiting 25 years now since Congress scheduled the records to be released. Just release the damn things.
There’s no actionable intelligence or assets that could be compromised by these documents, so the only plausible reason for them to want to hold anything back is that there are still a few people left alive from the government who will look bad when we see what they were up to back then. Sorry, but that isn’t a matter of national security.

the only thing I could see redacting is any retired intelligence asset still living on foreign soil. I don’t think there are to many agents from the 60s still active.
