Me too. I also thought at first the Dodger CF got hit in the face, and I wondered why he wasn’t rubbing his forehead

Dodgers feeling pressure now for the first time all season....manager panicked badly. And so much for the “invincible” Dodgers bullpen. Oh..Verlander still undefeated as an Astro.

It’s going to be loud in Minute Maid Park Friday night!

My youngest brother was visiting and had me sit through most of game 1. Baseball bores the hell out of me, but he is a die-hard Dodger fan, so I was patient.

Lucky for him he was on a flight back to the mainland during this game. Would have been excruciating for him to watch.

Friday night will be "must watch" Game 3. It was cool to see Vin Skully out today.
History breakin' out all over the place.

Man, what a great series this would be if Vinnie were doing the play by play.

Best sports announcer EVER!!

Los Angeles should have left their starting pitcher in. He was lights out.

Dodgers relief has been lights out as well. Jansen has been almost unhittable, but it was he that blew the save.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda...at this level with the best of each league going at it, you can't predict what might happen. BOTH of these teams are outstanding and deserve to be in the WS. In the end, there can be only one.

Good news is, Dodgers got to Verlander. He ain't about nothin'.

Bad news is, Astros got to Jansen. :(

Absolute truth. Verlander was masterful against the Yanks but my beloved Dodgers found the crack in his armor. Jansen was fairly solid and Roberts should have left him alone. The 2 mugs that followed him gave up the game to the Astros.

Good game but I hope this brings the LA bench to life in Houston.

Go Dodgers!

If, if, if ...

Astros seemed to wake up and realize they were in a big game. Back-to-back HRs gave them some confidence. Pulling ahead twice.

Their first game win in a World Series. On the road. That should give them an edge.

Of course, they did give up the lead and the Dodgers were gaining in that last inning, but they held on.

I hope the remaining games are as intense.

Except that before that, if the ball hadn’t hit the Dodgers’ centerfielders’ hat brim exactly the way it did, the ball would have gone way deep into the outfield likely scoring the Astros guy on base giving the Astros the extra run that might have ultimately won the game. Lots of crazy stuff in a really entertaining game.

Not sure a total of two hits “cracked the Verlander code.”. Watch for Verlander to come back in game six and win the WS for the Astros.

Easy to manage a game and second guess after the fact especially with all the great horses Roberts had in the stable. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Fact is Roberts and the whole Dodgers’ organization has brought the team through a great season and to the brink of a world championship. We’ll see how it all plays out.

Yeah, Friday is now a must-win for the Dodgers with Darvish going. Yesterday was a must-win for the Astros and the bats did it for them...with a huge assist from Roberts who mis-managed that game so badly that he exposed his bullpen...it was idiotic for him to think them invincible, they aren’t - no one is - and he should know that better than anyone. Hinch is head and shoulders a better manager than Roberts and that could end up being the difference. Hinch is calm and collected and he doesn’t panic. Roberts is a head case.

Minute Maid Park - kind of a goofy name (I know it’s for revenue but it still sounds goofy to me) and a goofy looking place from the outside.

It’s funny how the fans’ orange outfits goes with the park name.

Roberts is not a good manager...not at all. And he panics. This is where Houston’s biggest advantage is - Hinch is a fantastic manager and is cool headed at all times.

If the Dodgers lose this series - it’s on Roberts. I hear Girardi is available...
