The meeting will consist of the player’s union telling the owners what they expect them to do next, and the owners will do it. This is amazing because where else in the world can the players go and play football for pay.
No, but they will probably be among the last people watching. Many other groups have moved away from TV in general; I believe commercials are filled with black people now because they are among the last English-speaking group watching.
Last night I caught the tail-end of an MLS play-off game, in which the Red Bulls (who play a couple of miles from me) beat Chicago. As the whistle sounded, it looked like some ethnic turd knelt and raised his fist; I couldn’t believe how quickly the camera turned away.
MLS has little money, and they can’t risk that. Too many Americans already view soccer as “foreign”, and this acting up by unassimilated “bread-and-circuses” entertainment minorities won’t help.
They just keep digging the hole.
If you go and look at the make-up of MLS....it’s mostly white dudes, a few semi-retired Germans and Brits, and a bunch of Latinos.
“About 48 percent of MLS players are white, 25 percent Latino, 10 percent Black and nearly 20 percent are identified as other.
This is from 2014; it really is a mixed bag.
I would not invite CK to witness the digging of a new outhouse pit.
I wonder what the Over/Uner is on how long CK will be a part of this mess?
His girlfriend is using him like a mule in a mine.
