This happened with the San Bernadino “lone wolf” shooting as well. Two of them so I guess they were lone wolves.
Their laptop HD disappeared as well. I remember footage of FBI divers looking in a nearby lake.
Good way to not get flak for missing a criminal conspiracy = make the conspiracy disappear.
