The Clintons are famous for their ‘scorched earth’ and ‘politics of personal destruction’ tactics.
It is no surprise that Team Clinton would manufacture something like this in an attempt to destroy a presidential candidate.
Team Clinton probably had similar actions in the works against all of the 17 Republican candidates they deemed viable challengers to Hillary.
Most of us here are well acquainted with Clinton politics.

We’ve had an extended vacation from the rule of law, as evidenced by the last 8 years, thanks in large part to a White House mouse who was fired from her first job for lies and unethical behavior, but still managed by proxy to claw her way to the top.
