One Democrat has become so concerned with Donald Trump's mental health that she has reached out to the psychologist behind a political group calling for the president to be removed from office.

California Representative Jackie Speier, has contacted John Gartner, a former assistant professor at John Hopkins medical school and founder of Duty to Warn, her office confirmed to Newsweek Tuesday. A collection of mental health professionals, the political action committee has advocated for Trump’s removal under the 25th Amendment.

Speier is not alone. Six Democrats, from both the House and Senate, have contacted Yale psychiatry professor Bandy Lee over recent months to discuss Trump’s mental state, Buzzfeed News reports. Lee is the editor of a book released this month titled The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump. It features 27 psychiatrists, psychologists and mental health experts assessing the president’s state of mind.

“In 2011, Prof. Jonathan Haidt, of New York University’s Stern School of Business, asked a gathering of some 1,000 psychologists to raise their hands if they identified as politically conservative. Exactly three people did.”

“Every Psych major chick I knew was crazy.”

Every HR Director I worked for/with had been a Psych major in college... and they all were bat-sh!t crazy, with a sadistic streak thrown in just to top it off.

Democrats want President Pence.

I mean - the 25th Amendment has never been used to remove a President temporarily from the exercise of his office.

Insanity/mental instabiliy is a subjective claim.

In this case, fueled by partisan politics/hate of Trump.

Good luck with it.

He must be mentally ill. No one has been so disdainful of Democrats since who knows when. /sarc

Or is it that they are simply so used to taking their air of superiority for granted for so long, they have so little experience with someone who is not afraid of them or their virtual media arm, the LameStreamMedia.

I think Trump should remind everyone that it’s the Democrats who don’t even know the difference between a boy and a girl.

The only appropriate response of Dr. John would be to set at least 18 months of counseling appointments for Ms. Jackie to explore why she had such deep-seated emotions towards men that the simple act of acknowledging a man who may have different opinions than she was in charge, was causing her to act out in a seemingly hysterical, self-destructive and social unacceptable manner.

Many psychologists are mentally ill themselves. Obviously, these political activist psychologists are among those mentally ill. To top it off, they often are unethical in their comments about others.

Worth repeating. They're a bunch of charlatans. Fortune tellers have better insight.

The question is: why is the president being attacked on all sides now? Why this full court press?

Could it be the JFK assassination files are about to be released? Could it be the CIA assassinated a sitting president? Could it be they are planning to do it again and don't want news of their previous assassination getting out?

Good luck Democrats with that concerted time consuming feel good effort. Where others have failed more will surely follow.

I don’t believe these Democrats believe President Trump is mentally ill. They just jump on anything to attack him.

27 hateful bigots more like.

I had a family member post about this book on FB, saying “good reviews”. They have no idea what people outside of their echo chamber are thinking.

First off, any credible psychiatrist knows you can’t form an accurate examination at a distance. Second, Obama was a pathological narcissist. Third, most politicians are somewhat narcissist.

...but this dripping, over the top, hateful bigotry is lost on them. They really think they can succeed in removing him, without any consideration that it would trigger a civil war.
