There were 12 volleys, totaling 700 rounds. The 5th or 6th volley was not heard by the concert video recordings, but was heard by the cab driver, and sounded muffled.
They think that volley was the one that wounded Jesus Campos.

Ten minutes of shooting, and 700 rounds? That full-auto equivalent didn’t do much for him. He could have done close to 600 rounds with one second per aimed shot, and he’d have killed more of the innocent people he hit. At a slower two seconds per aimed shot, he probably would have killed with almost every round, for 300 kills. I’m glad he was too stupid to balance the value of aim against rate of fire.
