Nearly 1.5 million Americans dropped off the food stamp rolls since President Trump’s inauguration in January 2017, according to the latest U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) statistics on food stamp enrollment. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participation dropped to 41,203,721 as of July 2017, the most recent data available from the USDA, from 42,691,363 in January 2017 when Trump took office.

According to the latest data, SNAP enrollment decreased by 3.48 percent, or 1,487,642, since Donald Trump began his presidency.

From May to July alone, nearly 400,000 Americans got off of food stamps, and the trend shows that enrollment has been consistently falling every month of Trump’s presidency.

Here is the breakdown of how many people dropped off the food stamp rolls each month of 2017:

January to February – 408,956 February to March – 95,152 March to April – 521,295 April to May- 176,527 May to June – 178,648 June to July – 236,417

“Trump is starving the children”

And by “starving” they mean “at any time in the last year, regardless of circumstances, you hungry when you went to bed”. Well yeah, they sat thru dinner in front of a perfectly good meal, refused to eat it for whatever reason (usually distracted), and still haven’t learned the lesson “when it’s time to eat, you eat - no we’re not going to keep it perfectly warm & ready until you decide to eat it after bedtime.”

Yes, some kids are actually denied sustenance on a regular basis. Yes, let’s help them. Let’s just not confuse “starving the children” with “kid won’t eat when every sensible opportunity is given” and “sometimes circumstances dictate missing meals”.

Back during the Nixon-Kennedy debates, Kennedy bemoaned "Many Americans go to bed hungry." Nixon replied, "Yes, they're on a diet". Brought the house down.

Many states have rescinded the waiver of a work requirement put in place by Obama. Now in these states you have to work or perform community service to receive food stamps. The illegals that live in these states who illegally work under the table lose their stamps as well. As far as I’m concerned this should be the rule in all 50 states.

:-) Exactly.

The poormongers seem to contend that anything less than complete satiation on demand equals poverty. (And for many of them, it shows...)

Not hard to eat healthy on $1/meal.
Problem is nobody is teaching kids how. Those in need just get meals handed to them; most of the rest are inundated with “life just isn’t worth living without spending $X on Y food”.
For a while I ran (and should resume) a blog http://AbuckAPlate.blogspot.com detailing $1/meal solutions. It’s not hard, one just has to think about whatever “balanced diet” model you choose, and be humble about your choices.
And yeah, most people could do with a little less caloric intake.

I’m betting a lot of people got jobs who had been unemployed for years...

1.5 million is a shockingly small percentage of the overall number.

Partner, it is so shameful what the Obama Presidency brought upon the American worker and taxpayer. He really hated America and his race baiting was all over the TV for us to see what was happening in our country.
