Remember how passionate we were protesting in Westwood the vote recount of 2001? Can’t go back but it meant everything to us at that time! Shame on GWB! To my knowledge, there isn’t a place to voice our opinion to him - the library/museum doesn’t take emails.. I tried when I had heard originally he wasn’t going to attend the 2017 inauguration...Suppose I could write a letter but really don’t feel like wasting my time!
When I went and supported Bush after the election, it was knowing I hadn’t even voted for him. I voted for Buchanan.
I did not want to see Gore steal the election. I went out there to make it clear we weren’t going to stand by and watch the Clinton/Gore machine roll over everyone in Florida.
I wasn’t there so much for Bush, but that was inevitably what was going on.
My thought to this day is that it was pitiful that Bush couldn’t beat Gore by a larger margin.
I found it pitiful that he couldn’t beat Lurch by more. I did vote for him that time.
