Dallas owner says he has heard from concerned sponsors
The Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who this month said he would bench any of his players who disrespect the flag during the national anthem, says that the protest movement is damaging the NFL.
This season dozens of NFL players have knelt during the anthem to highlight racial injustice in the United States. The movement has split the nation, with many perceiving it as disrespectful to military veterans. The NFLs television ratings are also down, although it is not clear whether this is directly linked to the protests, as TV sports audiences have fallen across America.
There is no question the league is suffering negative effects from these protests, Jones said on Sunday.
Joness Cowboys are valued at around $5bn, and he said he had heard from concerned sponsors. Our ability to be substantive is based on having a strong NFL, a league that people are really interested in and want to watch and want to watch the games, Jones said. At all times, if I am anything, I am first and foremost a proponent of making the NFL strong. Making us have as many people watching the game as we can and watching in light of what we are doing and thats playing football. If all this makes you stronger to represent messages, lets dont do it in a way that tears down the strength of the NFL.

Brain Dead Clowns..
Yup.
Appeasing the KneeGro Assholetes doesn’t seem to have worked.
good point
Here’s a CBS writer with the delusional theory low NFL ratings have nothing to do with the protests.
So keep protesting, morons.
Leftists hate football and have been trying for a few decades to kill the NFL.
The weak link were the players. Turn them into SJWs and the game will implode. Exactly what’s happening.
Jerry should have known better than to side with the employees spitting in his customers food. Now the customers have gone away.
Good luck with the collective bargaining in 2020 you white supremacist slave holder..
Jones kneeled with the others, and had, as best my dad would describe, a shit eatin grin.
My hometown team had a game yesterday and I did some checking on the resale market. Tickets were selling for $6 on stubhub,$5 less than a good beer. In seasons past, tickets often sold above face value. These were season ticket holders dumping tickets and some were good seats.
I was watching F1 instead of Football yesterday and I don’t even know who the drivers are, but they were in Texas. To me, F1 is boring, but I might get into it.
Are they still kneeling BEFORE the pledge? If so, it’s the same thing.
DING! DING! DING!
We have a winner!!
He knelt!!.....nuf said!!!
Well, duh !
Excellent!!!!

Gee Jerry, normal people don’t worship your black brats. They do however revere the sacrifices of our Fallen American heroes. The lowest private to the greatest generals ALL have a place in our hearts and minds. The black brats, most of whom are felons would normally be behind bars if not for the courrupt legal system.
Looks to me that he wants to play both sides of the fence.
I don’t give a shit about his “feelings” I want to know what his convictions are!
When Jerry brought in that scumbag, Greg Hardy, that told me everything I needed to know about Jerry.
Maybe an alternative to the NFL is here today... in the CFL.
I have an AppleTV. The ESPN App for the AppleTV provides the past couple of weeks of CFL games by replay. ESPN does the same for Saturday’s NCAA games.
