The director of the Michigan State Police shared a meme only to become one.
Colonel Kriste Etue posted a popular Breitbart News Facebook page post on her personal Facebook page in late September that called the NFL national anthem kneelers “anti-American degenerates.” In response on Thursday, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, who called the post “innapropriate,” docked her five days’ pay.
After the Breitbart News Facebook page posted the message on September 24, the Huffington Post noted that conservative news site had “published the top post on the social network by any major American publisher” that weekend. It boasted a greater reach than any such post in the news site’s history. The simple white text on a black background generated more than 250,000 likes, 18,000 comments, and 600,000 shares. Colonel Etue reposted the meme the day it went live.
Those defending the right of NFL players to express themselves on the job showed little tolerance for the top cop offering her opinion on her own time.
Kenneth Reed of the Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality called the punishment meted out by the Republican governor “not good enough.” He wants Etue fired.

Governor Synder disputes her comment? She is right on target with their police hating actions. Shame on the Governor.

I doubt she’ll be fired. She can sue them including the Governor. Sorry homey..

What about her 1st amendment rights? What, only the rich, spoiled athletic kids get 1st amendment rights? She wasn’t even at work or in uniform.
She should sue. This actually is a violation of the 1st amendment. When the Governor of a state infringes on the rights of a private citizen.....

That’s a pay cut for speaking your mind.
Meanwhile, a questionable shooting gets you paid time off during the investigation.
Ironic.

The text of the post.
Dear NFL: We will not support millionaire ingrates who hate America and disrespect our Armed Forces and Veterans. Who wins a football game has ZERO impact on our lives. Who fights for and defends our nation has EVERY impact on our lives.
We stand with the Heroes, not a bunch of rich, entitled, arrogant, ungrateful, anti-American degenerates.
Signed, We the People

But they would be within their rights to fire her assuming that does violate the contract they have with the police union. BTW, the same applies to team owners who want to fire (i.e. Cut or waive) a player whose actions they deem to be detrimental

One does not have to have a subscription to National Geographic to realize Snyder is a bleeping RINO... Boy did he take us to the cleaners when we voted for him.
With that said; Sean Hannity endorsed State Senator Patrick Colbeck for Governor as Snyder is Term Limited.
Also party players in the Senate voted to basically strip Senator Pat of all his power and committee chairmanships.
Me thinks the MI eGOP needs an Enema...

she doubled down and defended her actions... things got too hot and she apologized and made a black caucus “please forgive me” tour.
