Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson continued her war of words with President Donald Trump after his chief of staffs criticism of her on Thursday.
White House Chief of Staff John Kelly's rebuked Wilson during the White House news briefing for sharing the contents of the presidents call with the widow of Sgt. La David T. Johnson, who was one of four soldiers killed in Niger.
Trump called the Florida Democrat wacky in a tweet late Thursday, and said she was SECRETLY on a very personal call.
In response, Wilson tweeted simply sticks and stones.
Wilson also shot back at Kellys accusation that she bragged getting federal money for a new FBI building in Miami when the money was in fact approved before Wilson came to Congress.
In fact, Wilson sponsored the legislation to name the building after two agents, Benjamin Grogan and Jerry Dove, who were killed in a shootout with robbers in Miami.
Wilson was with Johnsons widow, Myeshia Johnson, when Trump called her shortly after his body was returned to Miami International Airport.
The congresswoman was able to listen to the call since Myeshia Johnson took it on the cars speaker phone while she was driving.
Wilson said Thursday at Miami Dade Colleges North Campus in her district that she had received threatening phone calls from white nationalists, WSVN reported, and that authorities had been notified, but that she had plenty of security.
And she joked, You mean to tell me that Ive become so important that the White House is following me and my words? This is amazing. Thats amazing. Ill have to tell my kids that Im a rock star now.
...”She started it. Now she cant take the heat.”...
It is beginning to look like Ms Wilson was looking for publicity. She told her kids that she is now a “rock star.” Maybe she likes the heat and deliberately came up with a plan to provoke it. I find myself wishing we could ignore these “flash in the pan,” folks.
Not a rock star, just a rock.....
I do believe she iss jealous of the attention Mad Max is getting from the whacko Left/media and decided to stir up some for herself, but she chose poorly how to do it. All hat, no decency ..... she may not regret it right now, but this is going to bite her in the butt, bigly.
Damned right its personal. This is what pushing back looks like. You shove, you get shoved back. If you dont like the result, dont start the fight.
She "on the make" and that's all that's important to her.
Wacky! YES! Call ‘em like you see ‘em Mr. President.
I think this gained traction because it is really the families who don’t want to admit “what they are getting into.” Those who enter the armed forces are well aware of what their sacrifices may be, including the ultimate one. But families may find that difficult to admit.
Also, can’t anyone judge character any more? The power of John Kelly vs. the craziness of the congresswoman is so obvious to me. But I also see the character of Trump very differently than the liberals do. The progressive view of character is filtered through a political prism, leading (interestingly enough) to a kind of narrow blindness instead of awareness.
Wasting so much time quibbling about wording is ridiculous. But it’s how the Democrats deflect from the “new” Russian uranium scandal.
Wilson/Warren 2020: It just got kookier.
No, I’m thinking Harris/Wilson (barf emoji)
Wacky starts with a W, clearly racist...also rhymes with blackie. Case closed
“Not a rock star...”
She’s just a black hole.
Geraldo has been taking Trump’s side a lot lately to my surprise. He either learned something from the Megan Kelley fiasco or thinks the long term outcome for Dems does not look good.
OMG! That’s a PERFECT epitaph for the headstone of this racist traitor! This will backfire on her completely but as long as she has a story to tell her gran chilluns, it be ok. /s
A Black hole of hate...............
Geraldo, has been a close friend of POTUS for a long time and he can’t bring himself to bury a knife in his back.
Ok, but if it is Michelle Obama/Oprah 2020, I have the legal rights to MOO 2020.
