Former President George W. Bush appears to have discovered a new pastime: virtue-signaling.
On Thursday, the 43rd president piously delivered a full beat down on President Trump and the populist and economic nationalist movement that elected him.
Bush even traveled from Dallas to New York City to deliver itjust to make sure that nobody in Manhattan missed his message, which basically amounted to: Im a good guy, unlike you-know-who. So look: I just dumped on Donald Trump! Please like me now, finally!
Yes, this is the same Bush who kept silent during the Obama years. But now that a Republican is in office, Dubya has found his voice.
In fact, 43s quest for a post-presidential-image rehab is starting to resemble that of another failed-president-turned-full-time-virtue-signaler, Jimmy Carter.
Back in 1980, the 39th president lost the White House to Ronald Reagan in a massive landslide, and yet for the better part of four decades now, Carter has been taking potshots at his Republican successors, and the media have loved every minute of it.
For the sake of brevity, Ill leave aside the horror that was Bushs foreign policy, other than to say that his shortsighted hubristic foreign adventures cost America and our allies dearly in blood and treasure. The fallout will be felt for generations. But Ill leave the chronicle of those tragedies for another day.
For now, Ill confine myself to a few of Dubyas domestic policy disasters. I had no trouble coming up with five off the top of my head. Please note that this is not in any way an exhaustive list of Bush Fails (as if such a list were possible).

Im no 9/11 truther, but ya gotta wonder if dudya took advantage of 9/11 so he could bust some nation-building, globalist moves.
>><<
Taking out Sadaam was nation building and proved to be a terribly stupid mistake.
:-)
.
I totally agree, W’s second term was a disaster. His administration was relentlessly attacked and he never defended himself, his cabinet nor his staff.
I supported GW until he fought to have the Patriot Act passed.
Opposite of everything I believed in. Nothing else he did after that could possibly change my mind.
So, you see, it is a very good idea to make sure not to vote for a defective person.
“8 years of silence with Obama & then this virtue signaling dolt W. comes crawling out of the woodwork.....”
That’s an excellent point.
yeah that was not a good law, to say the least.
But GW was a moderate at best (that may be charitable)
Anyone remember Bush Derangement Syndrome, the original BDS? Maybe W thinks the Democrats will like him now. Especially Nancy Pelosi, who thinks he is still president.
He was better than they would have been but only a little better.
W. really is a disgrace.
9/11 response, kicking the talibans buttocks, all good.
It was down hill after that. Now look at the guy. Would never speak against a leftard attack as president, never said a thing about Zero, what a turd W is.
So disappointed. GW was absolutely silent during the evil unconstitutional presidency of BHO! Now he opens his mouth?
Globalism = Communism
Go back to your ranch & clear brush!
“W. really is a disgrace”.
He certainly is.
Fine time to start yapping. Where was he during the last 8 years of h-e-double toothpicks with the feckless one?
Swamp Seminar
More dissapointeder.
Yup, dudya broke a campaign promise with that one.
And now that dudya preaches globalism, his anti-nation-building campaign promise back in 2000 was just the talk of of some sleazy politician.
Today, dudya is free to be his globular self.
It actually hurts how much of a dissapointment W turned out to be. In 1999—2000 and right after 9/11, I had such high hopes. It all went up in smoke. I will say this for him, he rallied the responders/nation after 9/11, he did a great pitch at that Yankees’ game, he has the lowest heartbeat without being dead, and he’s an excellent shoe dodger.
You’re right.
Lol
